Try using something like a PillowSonic speaker. It's a super-thin speaker you place under your pillow. The sound filters up through the pillow. I can actually buy a pillow stereo for a good price (such as this one) and have the REM Dreamer sleeping mask detect when I'm sleeping then send a signal to my laptop which reads the signal and plays isochronic beats or whatever audio I want to play. It could be really powerful when combined with flashing lights and stuff.
