I've since went homeless, so I would definently take a job. But I'm overqualified and underqualified. Remember there has been job losses since 2001 -- so there is a long queue of people looking for jobs. Take a gander at /r/jobs. You'll see excitement from people finally getting a job after three years.

Then consider a recent cross-country job fair by McDonald's. One million applied, sixty-thousand were hired -- or 6%. Consider Alabama. There new Hyundai plant. Eleven thousand applied, eight hundred hired. I turned in applications to both McDonalds and Hyundai.

And now McCain, and confirmed by employers, have said that in the coming months that defense contractors will begin to lay off tens of thousands of employees--this enacts a hiring freeze in other industries.

Or consider Roanoke, VA; where I was born. The mayor had to hire a city attorney. There were thirty-four applicants. Who gets chosen? The mayor's brother.

To keep from going crazy I wrote about it. The money I do get from the book pays for my Straight Talk phone card and food for my dog. (http://amzn.com/B005FBA900)

I appreciate your compassionate stance for me. I replied so that there is some awareness of the situation. It gets tiring to hear people simplify or persecute the unemployed (not that you did).

But thanks for the response and I hoped I answered your question.

Looks like you already are a writer somewhat. Is this not providing any income?
