I use an air tight canister that has a one way valve for gasses to escape. I just put the bag into the container so the beans and oils don't get all over the inside of the container.

Technically, something like this, it has a filter that absorbs excess oxygen and vents out excess carbon dioxide. Well worth it in my opinion, but anything airtight in a dark place will work fine.

I store my beans in this thing to keep them fresh. It's served me well so far, but now I'm a little sad that they didn't offer that sassy red one when I bought mine =P Does matter, had coffee!

Well there are a couple ways you can go about taking care of your beans after roasting. There are things called coffee vaults that are just a metal canister with a one way CO2 valve on it to keep the freshness. I put my beans in mason jars (can get a bunch for cheap at Walmart) after letting them de-gas for atleast 12 hours.

As far as when to grind them is kinda up to you. I've heard many different opinions on when it's ok to grind and brew coffee after roasting but the general rule I've found is 12 hours. But you also have to remember that some coffee tastes better the longer it sits. When I roast Ethiopian beans I find that they taste the best around the 3rd day of resting, thus that's when I grind them.

Works pretty well.

I bought an airtight canister with a one way valve on top. I also keep the scooper that came with the v60 in there. I doubt it makes an appreciable difference since I buy coffee every three days or so, but I don't want the coffee bag sitting on my uncluttered countertop.

I usually am brewing Kicking Horse 454 Horsepower mixed with some heavy whipping cream (shoutout /r/keto) and a drip of Irish Cream flavoring., but currently trying some Kona coffee given to me by a friend. (it's smooth!)

Cuisinart DBM-8 - ok-good burr grinder, variable grind size, even grind results, kind of loud though.

This is a Friis coffee vault. I LOVE coffee and I had this on my wedding registry but we didn't get it. I think it will be great to store coffee in. It is air tight and lets the CO2 out that is released from the beans.

It is easy to use. Fill tank with water. Grind beans. Put grinds in coffee basket and tamp. Put basket on the unit and tighten down. Put cup underneath basket and turn the knob once. Wait for the green light to come on. Turn the knob again to dispense. Turn off when done.

And here is the tamper I use. It is excellent IMO. Cheap and useful AND sturdy. Can't beat it.

EDIT: Well here is the rest of what I use as well. Grinder. This is a bit cheap, you could do better but also do worse.

And the milk pitcher for frothing. It may seem silly to spend that much on a metal pitcher but I highly recommend it.

So for about $120 $140 plus shipping you can be all set up!

EDIT 2: Buy decent whole beans and keep them tightly rolled in the bag and put the bag in something like this. Grind just enough to make a cup when you are wanting one.

I've had these for a great while now. Coffee lasts so long in these.

They protect from Light, Air, Moisture, and CO2 from the coffee itself as it ages. They are easy to clean and maintain.

Edit: Don't fall for cheap knockoffs, either. I'd buy from Friis directly but that's me.

As previously mentioned, refrigeration/ freezing can be a bit tricky regarding moisture infiltration.

What I like about it is you can replace the filters with ones cut off of bags of coffee once you run out of the ones that come with it.

Friis makes a nice storage container. I've been using this for a few months and I'm very pleased with it. The whole cO2 vent is a little weird but it definitely gets the job done.
