That Lost Cosmonaut was an almost buy for me, but I passed. Maybe later.....

Speaking of which, I am writing (among other things) a music reference book, and was delighted to find a non-on-sale ebook about mothers of famous rock stars: https://www.amazon.com/Cradle-Stage-Stories-Mothers-Rocked-ebook/dp/B01HZFB0CY/

Like an idiot, last week I stupidly passed on a 99 cent Beatles reference book -- now it's way overpriced.... I saw the Radles book but found it intiimidating -- although a while back I bought a great similar kind of book on life on other planets (First Contact: Scientific Breakthroughs by Marc Kaufman). Now I'm debating whether About Time: Cosmology and Culture at the Twilight of the Big Bang is worth 99 cents.

The great thing about a 99 cent ebook is that it feels like chump change and so you can buy something you'd normally never buy... I've found some amazing stuff.... I watch the free titles and in a typical week download at least 10 high quality free titles. Today it's volume 2 of chuck Cascio's Fire Escape stories.

One of my big regrets is not buying Ronan Bennett's Catastrophist (also S&S) when it was 99 cents. I passed, and then read the first chapter later and was sucked in. But it has stayed at 9.99. When it is discounted again, I have a feeling I'll be paying the extravagant sum of 1.99 to get it....
