I had 3 yeast infections in 3 months and I associated them with my BC (implant). She recommended them because they are live (you have to keep them in the fridge) and concentrated. I also take the AZO complete feminine probiotics that support the balance of good bacteria and yeast (for good measure). I haven't had anymore yeast infections since I started taking both 3 months ago. I read this article that someone posted on here about probiotics and in the article it was saying that if you take a concentrated dose for 3 months and then stop then the balance should be fine. So i plan on stopping the AZO one and just continuing with the one my Dr. recommended.
