That's in his autobiography. Its a great book. It's basically several hundred pages of him getting thrown in jail for various awesome things, it's really worth picking up.

You sure it was YA? Sounds like it could be either a bio of Kevin Poulsen or Kevin Mitnick

I listened to Mitnick's audiobook, Ghost in the Wires. It's good.
