This month I got this:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA50M87Z7207

and put it in this:

https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813145140

without too much difficulty. Unfortunately the Z370N is out of production now apparently, you can also get it at Amazon (which is where I got it actually).

Installation wasn't too bad, had to downflash the BIOS from v12 to v11 (it came from Amazon at v3 btw so I had to buy an $80 i3 to flash it up to supporting 9th gen) as the install was hanging at apfs_module_init with v12 (I have an i5-9600K so v11 is the minimum I can run).

No weirdness or crashes with 10.14.3 in two days of light use, full parts here:

Check out Gigabyte Z370N: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076VD4XV4/ref=as_li_ss_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=tonymacx86com-20&th=1

Has bluetooth and wifi. It only has one PCIe, so I'd save that for a possible gpu or thunderbolt 3. You probably wont need thunderbolt 3 to be honest. I was going to grab the add in card, and realized there's barely anything that uses it to begin with, maybe in the future though. Even external hard drives, very very few use it.

I found this motherboard in the CustoMac Mini on TonyMac website:

Check it out.

For Power supply:

Calculate the wattage required with these sites. I recommend using more than one because sometimes they're very different. Make sure to get a bit bigger PSU wattage incase you install a GPU.

There's a case in the tony mac link I sent above. If you're not a fan of it, try searching components on NewEgg.com if you're in the states. They have really good filtering on their site.

If you got any more questions, just ask. I'd be glad to help with whatever I know of at the moment
