Good for you!! By sticking with the books you have brought all your skills up at the same time. People who avoid the books usually get good in only one thing but end up really lacking in other areas. These collections of classical pieces are not necessarily in order of difficulty. Unlike the lesson books you dont have to do every song. Most of my students do about 5-7 songs from each classical music period (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, 20th Century) and then are usually able to go to the next level.
