NO GUARANTEES: This tool comes with no guarantees implied or expressed and should be considered a single-use tool.FIX YOUR AUDIO: The cylindrical shape allows the tool to be inserted in between the jack housing and the broken piece, physically isolating the piece from any friction against the jack walls. At the same time the split in the cylinder allows for manufacturing differences and acts as a kind of cylindrical pliers to grip the broken piece. This tool is designed for repair professionals, and will pay for itself with the repair of a single device. With careful use it can survive to repair many deviceHOW TO USE IT: Shake off any loose pieces from the broken headphone plug that may fall off the jack. Push the GripStick into the device by hand. If it does not work, try to lightly/slowly tap it in. It should go in about the same length of a headphone plug. Don't push it in too far as it could bend the tip. If your plug broke in such a way it left the cylindrical metal shell inside the jack, the GripStick must not get caught on the inside of the cylinder shell, as it will never work if it does.KEEP IN MIND: When pulling the GripStick out, try pinching the GripStick with your fingers as you pull. This will help grip the broken piece and pull it out. Pinch the GripStick closest to the device as possible. If this does not work, you may need to use a pair of pliers (preferably needlenose) and grip and pinch, again closest to the device as possible, as you slowly pull out. In some devices you may have to pinch with significant pressure.NOTE: If the GripStick bends that should be fine as long as you make sure it is in all the way. Depending on how the headphone plug was broken off in the device, it may not be possible to be removed without disassembling the device and therefore the GripStick would not work in that situation. Also, please note that the jack connectors inside your device may have been damaged when the plug was initially broken off and even if the broken piece is taken out, the headphone jack may still be damaged.

This tool is (supposedly) made specifically for this kind of thing!

I say supposedly because I've never tried it myself so I don't know how effective it is.

Here's a demo video advertisement about how it works.

If you do buy it and use it please let us know how well it functions. I'm kinda interested myself!

There is a legit tool for this, it's made for removing broken off headphone plugs, but works for most things stuck into a headphone jack. https://www.amazon.com/GripStick-Headphone-Plug-Extraction-Tool/dp/B01M19LY2F There ARE cheaper ones out there though.

they have a tool specifically for this (although it is designed to remove broken headphone studs, not necessarily just a bead or whatever) https://www.amazon.com/GripStick-Headphone-Plug-Extraction-Tool/dp/B01M19LY2F

also varying model to model you may be able to open the machine up and punch it out from the backside. some machines have the housing enclosed, but most usually have it open on the backside.
