Recently discovered the same thing; poked around on amazon and google to try to figure out the best kind of vanilla for my (topicals, bath bombs, etc) products. bought this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B079J8953S/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 have used it in a few topical recipes, and it's very nice, and doesn't have the 'extract' alcohol smell. as an EO fiend, I was suprised to find out that vanilla doesn't come in true EO processes. vanilla absolute is very dear, so this seemed like a happy medium.
