I know of this problems when passing the ball occasionally the pass will drift not to the intended player and go awry because of a momentary lag that gets the game stuck and corrupts the completion of the pass. Also on 5 vs 5 intro it gets laggy on lineup before the game and also on tip off characters of centers are reset cuz no one jumps and tip off animation is started again due to a lag.

I would say to go hard wired if your on wifi to take advantage of your top speed. I mean it's still playable if you just overlook the those lags I mentioned. Maybe try setting your TV to a game mode that might have a higher refresh rate and using a 4.4.4 Chroma 2.1 high speed hdmi to allow the best transfer of picture from console to tv.

Nice hdmi cabel that doesn't break the bank and is future proof.

Sorry, yall are talking way over my head at this point haha. See my response below about trying new cables. FYI, these are the new HDMI's I got: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B078LTNDZW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

So I did end up getting some new HDMI cables to make sure that wasn't the issue. Just as before, it started out fine. About 30min into a movie the cut outs began. They then started to occur more often until it was basically every minute or two. Sometimes when it was about to go out the screen kinda went pink, then black. But, what is also weird is I played Halo for a couple hours last night using the same HDMI cable through the soundbar and it did fine. No cutouts at all. Could it be an issue of Shield and soundbar not working together?

I just tried bypassing the soundbar and going straight from TV to Shield. It's been running perfectly for a half hour now. Sooooo looks like its the soundbar that is the culprit. Which I guess isn't a huge surprise with this particular bar. Although I haven't seen my issue mentioned in its problems here on reddit.

I guess I should move this to the Vizio subreddit but I don't know how to do that lol. But if someone here has a possible solution, I'm all ears!

Ah gees, that is disheartening. For what it's worth, these are the exact cables I'm using.

Also, since I have an older receiver, I'm only using it for audio. So my setup is as such:

HDMI cable from Apple TV 4K to Sony 950g HDMI 1 port.

HDMI cable from Sony 950g HDMI 3 (eARC) port to Onkyo eArc HDMI Out.

it's strange because I'm using the onkyo's HDMI OUT port, but that's what it says to use (that's the port labeled eARC), and it works great so far.

Since I set all the Sony HDMI ports to Enhanced, I haven't had a blackout since. I'm still crossing my fingers though, it's too early to tell.

I had this problem and resolved it by replacing my HDMI cable with a new, premium cable. This is the one I got for $11.99.

I got these the other day because my old crappy ones were making my speakers pop. Nice cheap cable. Surprisingly soft and flexible.
