"I priced everything out online and this is what it's worth" suuurrreee....
I'd offer $750 for everything, tops.
16 GB vs 8 GB. $60 is hardly back breaking for a professional programmer.
And using more RAM doesn't increase power usage that much.
They also have the Used-Like New one in the Amazon Warehouse for 78.80.

Woo hoo! Just upgraded my 8gb ram to 16gb for $83.55! My current ram has been giving me issues and i've been waiting on a decent deal for ram with the recent price increases.
Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Black (HX318C10FBK2/16)
I just found a better deal after I posted this, on Amazon.ca for $82.66 with free shipping & sold by Amazon.ca: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/offer-listing/B00J8E8Y5C/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
Make sure to select the second option for $82.66 sold by Amazon.ca with free shipping, the first option is cheaper but a third party seller from China.
^Sweet, ^Amazon ^rep ^also ^just ^price ^adjusted ^my ^order ^from ^mid ^March ^with ^some ^promo ^credit.

I got this same kit from Amazon very recently and can recommend it.
I actually had no idea I could do that until this comment chain. I actually just found my ram and I'm thinking I should put them back in an learn how to overclock ram. I'm running these sticks now

The shipment from Amazon with the fastest shipping cost me just over $350 with an additional ($5) non-tech item.
Might want to change your RAM price. You can get something like those at $76 on Amazon (prime exclusive) or $65 through Amazon Warehouse

hello, in my opinion you should not get an nvr for the fact that they are expensive and you can not upgrade them down the line, what i recommend is building a pc base nvr and use the blue iris softwere, my recommendation and my current set up is:

if you have an old computer you can save some parts and moeny by reusing the power supply, hdd and maybe the case. all that will be around 250-300, the you will have 200 to buy 4 poe 1080p cameras 50 each, and good things is that you can add more later on, best of the luck, you do need few more parts so let me know if you interested and i will put them together for you. you can take a look at mine at http://mymun2.25u.com:81 demo/demo for username and passowrd.
Cheaper MoBo same/better qaulity: https://www.amazon.com/MSI-970-GAMING-DDR3-Motherboard/dp/B01LAFXQBI/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1502480407&sr=1-3&keywords=msi%2Bmotherboard&th=1
Why not just get this ram kit its cheaper and allows for future expansion? https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x8GB-1866MHz/dp/B00J8E8Y5C/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1502480475&sr=1-2&keywords=DDR3+ram+2x16
Also really you can get away with 8gbs if you would like to save more.
Phew - thanks for clearing that up! Was worried I'd borked my RAM or something.
My saviour.
Now I just need better RAM. Time to do a buy. ;-)
EDIT: will this be better? I'm okay when it comes to PCs, however RAM always eludes me! Link to RAM.
new board means new ram ONLY if you get a new cpu as well.
if you simply get a z97 which is lga1150 then both your cpu and ram will still work (technically devils canyon the 4670k and 4790k were designed to be on z97 rather than 87 anyway)
but getting mostly matching ram will be your issue. yet 16gb ddr3 isnt super cheap right now, and a 2x4gb 1333 to match what you have now isnt even that much cheaper!
https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x8GB-1866MHz/dp/B00J8E8Y5C?th=1
https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x4GB-1333MHz/dp/B00J8E91K4
notice how somehow the higher speed ddr3 sticks are somewhat cheaper for some reason, because fuck logic
This is amazing - I cannot thank you enough and I really like the i5 from the review, the multi-threading of i7 will not matter at all with the games I play.
My only question is on Windows 7. Unfortunately I do have a legit version, but I believe it is lost now (code wise as it was on a student account that is now dead). You notes £30.00 for it, but I cannot see it for such a price anywhere. Are you aware of where I can get it for such a good price? [EDIT - ignore me I have found it. Thanks again.]With regards to Ram, if I were to get a highler clock speed, would you have any recommendation. If you believe the version you recommended is ample then not a problem. I did see this for a little bit more?
Yes, I will wait on the 1080 is solidly out and not just the Founder's edition. Ty also as I was not sure what that meant.
Thank you again :)
> If you are really concerned, just invest in some low-profile RAM.
Yeah I was considering purchasing [this] (http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x8GB-1866MHz/dp/B00J8E8Y5C? ie=UTF8&keywords=hyper%20x%20ram&qid=1465503070&ref_=sr_1_1&sr=8-1) ram for my computer so that I would be able to orientate it the proper way.
Thanks! Quick follow-up question. If I wanted to go with this case instead would everything fit? Secondly if I wanted 16gb of memory would this be good or is there a better recommendation?
I say go for the 16gb, cause it's so cheap now days, why not have the extra power? $77 for Kingston HyperX Fury 16gb
If you can't use DDR4 win your MOBO, I would recommend two options-
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00J8E8Y5C/ref=pd_aw_sim_sbs_229_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=2VKWF066S0MK5HDFSKY6&dpPl=1&dpID=61beYW-XuPL
https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N1PNCX3/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1502136066&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=aorus+motherboard&dpPl=1&dpID=51hUc-yU-%2BL&ref=plSrch
The second option would be more difficult to do, but a fresh motherboard and higher end RAM would definitely be helpful.
I took out the 2gb sticks and kept in the 8gb and my computer wouldn't boot up. Took those out and put in the 2gb and now my computer works fine.
I assume it's either a compatibility issue or hardware issue with the sticks of ram itself. Do you see anything that would cause compatibility issues based on what I posted?

Yes I believe I am, I have a
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 970
Intel Core i7-4770K Quad-Core
Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM
I'm not an experienced pc builder so i was wondering which to buy. I want more power for the buck.
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00J8E8Y5C/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= or the one i posted above... Still not sure.
great deal on RAM right here. You can get 16GB kit, 8GB, 4GB, all for great Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale prices
Hey Termy,
I just bought Kingston HyperX FURY 16GB Kit (2x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Black .
Would you reccomend me removing the old Ram or does it really matter,
I have 4 slots on my motherboard.
Sorry if this is a noob question.

This is actually more about the use of a heavy IDE; Eclipse or any other heavy IDE can be a major pain in the ass with their RAM usage. I've taken a look at these and PC part picker indicates no compatibility issues but hardware really isn't my field of expertise.
Buy this Ram instead:
http://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x8GB-1866MHz/dp/B00J8E8Y5C
Its cheaper and runs at a higher clock, it is CL10 though, not sure what that means to you. If anything at all
So I'm planning on getting some RAM for my PC, and I've narrowed it down to two options, they're the same price, but different. Could anyone help me out will telling me what the difference is?
Option 1: HyperX
Option 2: HyperX
Hello!
I want to know if this RAM (https://www.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x8GB-1866MHz/dp/B00J8E8Y5C/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1479923460&sr=1-1&keywords=16gb+ram&refinements=p_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A677429011) is compatible with this motherboard (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131358)
Is it this? https://smile.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x8GB-1866MHz/dp/B00J8E8Y5C?sa-no-redirect=1
Almost all modern games only use 8gb of RAM which is why I only gave you 8. However, it's extremely easy (and cheap) to upgrade, so you can definitely add more down the line if you want. If you do, make sure you add the same kind as before. If you want 16gb now to future-proof, get this:
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J8E8Y5C/?tag=pcpapi-20
As for keyboards, the Corsair k70 is great and very well reviewed, but it's fairly expensive (around $120 I think). I don't know much about mechanical keyboards though, so you might want to try r/keyboards for extra help. If you're set on a mechanical keyboard, make sure you know which switch type you want (look it up if you're not sure what you're looking for- Cherry MX blue is the most popular, and the best IMO). Hope this helps!
Hi, today one of my sticks of 8 GB ram died (my total was 16 GB which you can see here). I want to get another stick to replace it so is it okay to just buy one 8 GB stick of the same type? Should I just buy 16 GB and replace the other stick as well?
Appreciate that. Do you have any recommendations as far as which ram to go for? I have an ASrock z87 Extreme 3 mobo.
Was thinking about this:

I want to upgrade my pc from Feb 2016. The main problem I've met i not having enough RAM (gaming + Chrome), so i'm wanting to upgrade that. I'm leaning toward buying this.
Is there something else I should prioritize? Will upgrading the RAM make another component a serious throttle? Thank you!
http://smile.amazon.com/Kingston-HyperX-FURY-2x8GB-1866MHz/dp/B00J8E8Y5C/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1458946412&sr=8-1&keywords=hyperx+fury+ddr3+ram I would be interested but its cheaper brand new from amazon
I'm wondering if it's ok to use a 1866mhz ram to a mobo with a maximum support of 1600 mhz?

Thoughts on which one to go with?
I have 2 RAM slots so I was going for 2 8 GB sticks.
I was checking pcpartpicker and it said this was compatible with my motherboard: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J8E8Y5C/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=YKTWARYQOZAA&coliid=I3TQZXG6VBQF2N&psc=1

Thanks, man. I hadn't even considered getting a 1070, but it makes sense. It seems to be a lower price than the 980ti currently. I had hoped to find something as powerful as a 908ti for about £350, but it doesn't seem to be possible.
If i already have a pair of these http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00J8E8Y5C?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01
would it be bad if I got these ones? Would it cause any issues? What does CL9 or 10 mean?
