One thing you might consider is building an insulated enclosure around it with louvered door for access, then you could screw a simple frame to the inside of the door to hold furnace filters, and put in a ducted fan to exhaust out the back, maybe something like this:

I looked at doing similar before I switched to the network world and was able to replace my home lab with a couple laptops, one desktop swouter and GNS3 :)
