The curl fades as the paper fibers relax over time, depending on temperature and humidity. You can unroll the paper and then either flatten it by placing some weight on top, or roll in the opposite direction to speed up this process if desired.
The closer you can come to a 90-degree straight edge cut, will increase the accuracy of the print alignment. Your rotary trimmer should come in handy for this!
