That's the BTS book "Inside Black Mirror", it's not available quiet yet (Nov. 6) but it is pre-order available. The other book that's expected to have more stories is on indefinite hiatus.

>I've seen no evidence that Netflix set any requirement for Americanized content, but I have seen this interview:

That's not really the point being made here though, the fact that it appears that way is the issue, he might be trying to take the piss out of people who believed that is the case, but all he ended up doing was retreading old water in some ways and not providing what made Black Mirror, well Black Mirror for a good portion of his time writing for Netflix, though Men Against Fire illustrates this well NoseDive is far from what I'd consider great Black Mirror and San Junipero although very good was good because it dealt with topics that weren't really apart of culture so much as simply being human.

>And considering that the last episodes on Channel 4 were released in Feb 2013, and it took almost 4 years for the show to be revived in November 2016 a case could be made that if Netflix hadn't picked the show up, it wouldn't exist at all, in any format.

This is just wrong: Channel 4 did want to continue Black Mirror:

On the day of the press screening for "White Christmas", Brooker and Jones had a meeting with Channel 4 executives, who told them that they wanted to continue the series but due to budget constraints, it would need to be a co-production. The pair had travelled to Los Angeles a few months prior to try to get co-production money, but were unsuccessful. The channel also suggested that Brooker could write an episode of Electric Dreams.

In December 2014, the first two series of the programme were released on Netflix in the United States after they bought exclusive streaming rights, leading to increased attention for the programme. In a bidding war between channels, which included several American networks, Netflix led with a commitment of two series of ten episodes each. Brooker and Jones reported in 2018 that though they and Netflix were both keen to have Channel 4 as equal partners, they could not get a meeting with Channel 4. They eventually got a meeting without discussion of a co-production with Netflix, where the channel suggested a renewal for three episodes. The channel later offered six episodes if full treatments could be given in advance, but Brooker and Jones were concerned due to past rejection of ideas. They had a limited time to reply to U.S. offers and chose to make a deal with Netflix.

And that is all straight from Brooker himself. Channel 4 were not too co-operative, but there was certainly a desire to continue Black Mirror from their end that being said it's very unlikely that it would have been cancelled outright, though likely they wouldn't have had the budget and access that Netflix could clearly offer.

I will always recommend The Office! I know you said movies/tv shows but there’s this really cool book written about Black Mirror by the creator of the show that you should check out for sure. It has a bunch of behind the scenes info and stuff. Inside Black Mirror https://www.amazon.com/dp/1984823485/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_l1hzCbPT2315F
