The tape is flexible, so it grows with your erection and it doesn't stick to the skin, it just sticks to itself. So I use the tape to wrap around the shaft of my penis and so keep the sticky pads where they're meant to be and ensure that they make good contact throughout, from flaccid to ejaculation. This eliminates hot spots, pads falling off mid-stream, etc. Like the pads the tape is reusable, up to a point.
