For push rods, I use these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BQ7YUM. You might have to get creative with servo horns on your control surfaces. I 3d printed some copies of what flitetest uses, but you can cut up a gift card and drill holes the the necessary size for the push rod, or just buy some.
