A spacious cage is the best way to go, just because hamsters are small doesn’t mean they are okay in a small cage, they need space to run around and do their hamster things.
Glass aquariums make great cages, however they can be pricey, Bin cages are also great ( and a lot cheaper ) If there’s enough space then it should be fine.
these type of cages however are not good at all, those are the ones you want to avoid at all cost.
As for bedding, Pine and cedar wood shavings are very bad, not at all good for your hamster, also beddings that are ‘scented’
The most recommended bedding is Carefresh Ultra, a lot of people use it and it’s perfectly safe for your hamster.
