Literary fiction is hard to edit, which is why I like it.
I think I explained why I like Romance somewhere else; it's usually pretty terrible at its base, so it's like this fun challenge to try to find the good ones and then make them even better.

The last novel I read by her was Lavina, and that was an absolute joy to read.
Also, despite having a hard time with the editing of that collection I mentioned, I still loved everything in it.

Calvino's work is all weird and postmodern in that way. Check out If on a Winter's Night a Traveler.

This is a novella written by a redditor I enjoyed very much. Just some pretty good science fiction.
