If you want them to match acoustically (especially since its a ribbon tweeter in a waveguide), then yes.
However, firstly, what's the layout of where the surrounds will go in relation to the seating? There are times when bipole/dipole speakers are a no go.
If you really want the matching surrounds but the price is stopping you, forgo the HTD sub for the one I have, the Klipsch sub-12HG. This thing is a beast, my room is ~2300ft^3 and is part of an open floor plan (no side wall on one side, opens to >3300ft^3, and there’s a stairway with a landing in the corner of the other side of my room) and that thing is powerful enough to shake picture on my wall, I’m no where near max power, that would be scary.
Wha'd you pay?
They should sound just fine for movies, probably pretty good for music. You're already several steps ahead of a Bose system. I would invest in a sub, it'll make a big difference with speakers that size. Can't go too wrong with this, it'll match the rest of your stuff, though I'm sure someone'll come and say Klipsch sucks at making subs and go with this other manufacturer that I've never heard of that only makes subs.
Anywho, looks like a good setup to start with, in a small room it'll do just fine, and you can always upgrade your front speakers down the line by keeping an eye on Craigslist, maybe the KLF-10, KG 5.5 or Forte's. It has a pre-amp output, so you can add a 2-channel power amplifier (as I've done with my receiver) to power some nicer speakers, the receiver should do well with the Quintet.
TL:DR Should sound good, room to grow, get a sub (used on Craigslist if you're like me)
What about this? Klipsch Sub-12HG Synergy Series 12-Inch 300-Watt Subwoofer with High Gloss Trim (Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VIWK0G/ref=cm_sw_r_an_am_at_ws_us?ie=UTF8
Cool, I could do that! Does having a second subwoofer make a noticeable difference? This is the sub I have right now: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VIWK0G
I've updated my OP to reflect the current plan.
What about the Klipsch Sub-12HG Synergy Series? I got this originally for $260 and now it's $350. I can't say I've experienced the higher end subs, but this one seems to work well as far as I can tell (no port noise or chuffing).
Considering you are big into Music with a side of movies - I would buy a 2/3.1 setup and focus on nicer speakers.
You could go with 2 of these towers:

Id go option 2, but Martin Logan towers are great. I think you would like either option.
The Klipsch Sub-12 is about as good you're going to get as far as entry level. $350 MSRP, but used they are much more affordable.
This goes on sale for $199 somewhat frequently: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B003VIWK0G/ref=pe_385040_30332190_TE_M3T1_ST1_dp_1
Astoundingly enough I actually just bought that same receiver for my quintet/synergy sub setup. I was using an antique yamaha rx v661 to power it all. I'm pretty pumped. How did it all work out for you?
how would you rate this sub at that price?

Cant beat this price for a great sub

Gotcha, misunderstood when I was looking things up. So you are suggesting
Pair of HTD Level 3 Bookcase $319 a pair (I prefer the black)
1x HTD Level 3 Center at $209
Pair of Fluance AV5 $70
1x Klipsch Sub 12-HG $250
So a total of $858, that seems just about right, thanks!
I ordered an bic america f12. However, i saw a great deal for this sub so I decided to return the f12. Amazon said that since it is hazardous material, I can keep the f12 so now I have 2 subs. Should I use both of them or one?
First, thanks for your contributions. Your guides are very useful for quality entry-ish level equipment.
I'm currently running a 2.0 setup for my computer, SMSL SA50 + Teac L-H265B. I'm just left with choosing a sub. Any thoughts on this for $200?
I should add, budget isn't really an issue as long as it's justified. Would most people even be able to discern a difference between SVS SB1000 vs the Klipsch or Dayton Sub-1200? The setup is for a small room (12x10) , but may eventually be moved a bigger room (15x15).
So after a good nights worth of research I've landed on some towers, subs and a receiver and I'd like some feedback:
Towers

Would I be better off taking the Klipsch towers and losing the sub? Should I go 3.1 over 2.1 -- Will it make that much of a difference?
I'm also considering the http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-Sub-12HG-Synergy-300-Watt-Subwoofer/dp/B003VIWK0G
Looks like you've done the proper planning for the room and the budget.
Here are some potential alternates to check out:
The panasonic PT-AE line of projectors.
An alternate subwoofer might be something like this (double the RMS power for about 1/2 the price):

I would get this receiver over the one you selected:

If you can stretch another $100, this will fit the bill.
