For the workout piece, check out Jesse Itzler's "Living with a SEAL". It's really funny, this entrepreneur hired David Goggins, a super hardass Navy SEAL to live with him and train him for 30 days. It's almost all bodyweight workouts. Really taught me a lot about grinding out sets of squats, pushups, and that I was doing about 1/10th of what I should be doing in terms of volume. Nowadays I have my minimalist bodyweight workouts, I keep a mini journal and I try to beat my last workout, sometimes by doubling it. For example, my last chest workout was 100 pushups, plus 15 reps of chest fly and 15 reps on the chest machine. So today I'm doubling that. 200 pushups, and double the volume of reps on the same, or heavier weight. When you do this over the course of weeks and months, those numbers start adding up, and you get shredded very fast when you realize you can just drop and crush another 100 pushups before dinner without needing to drive to the gym, change, workout, shower, change back, drive back. No. Just drop and give yourself 100.

Seriously, get the book, it'll be the best 8 bucks you ever spend.

I just started this book, but it seem's like it will be more of a fun read than informative. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1455534684/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
