Also I really enjoy this mouse. I am by no means an expert on any of this, but anecdotally i’ve enjoyed it. I will recommend for sure do not cheap out on the mouse, get a good brand with good reviews

Well.... here's some great mice for under your $50 minimum. The Logitech 300 series (300, 302, 303) are all 20-40 and are my personal recommendation if you're on a budget.

Not quite. I have the g400s but I believe the currently model is the g402.

Mousepad is a no-brainer mouse is more of a personal Thing thou. You will see People praising the G502 here but since that's over your Budget I would recommend either the G402 or the Rival 300

The Avago 9800 is not a good sensor. You may or may not notice them, but it has serious flaws.

That being said it is an upgrade over what you had. Here are a few suggestions, with better sensors, around that price point if you would like to return it and try something else!

Low: http://amzn.com/B00HEX8TA4 - 3050 Optical Sensor. Entry level but good sensor. $15

Mid: http://amzn.com/B009JZ04BC - 3090 optical sensor. Smaller sized. $35

High: http://amzn.com/B00LZVNWIA - good sensor, great software, great brand. $50

Not sure what country you're in but doing a google conversion for Euros to USD I'm seeing a couple of mice that are in the $45 price range. Look at the bodies of these and see if any will meet what you're looking for in terms of grip.

Best buy has the g502 proteus core for 35 and the proteus spectrum for 39. I got mine last year from them at this price. Excellent mouse, a tad heavy, but I prefer that so. Either way good deal.

It's only blue lighting. Doesn't change. I wanted a simple and cheap back-lit keyboard and this was the only one I could find. Would have preferred standard white back-lights.

You could probably go even cheaper than that: the games you list have low requirements and could run off of an AMD APU processor, but you might not get ultra gfx. Which I assume is part of the point of modding these games, so I put a newish GPU in the build. LMK what you think!

I'd recommend this keyboard and this mouse if you can push your budget, if not then this mouse instead.

u/xStayHungry · 2 pointsr/buildapc

This is a great starting point, thanks! I'm also traveling for Thanksgiving, so I'll research each of these after. I have all the peripherals already (this monitor, keyboard ($9 on /r/buildapcsales), and mouse), and also bought a Crucial MX300 750GB SSD I found for $99 on /r/buildapcsales.

u/KoloHickory · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

An amazing mouse logitech is imo the best mouse maker. Great sensor, texture, shape, weight. Perfect for fps games.

Je suis fidèle à Logitech en général. J'ai celle-ci qui me donne entière satisfaction pour le moment, mais c'est peut être au-dessus de ton budg'. Y'a plein d'autres modèles cela dit.

J'avais une MX518 avant, qui a tenu genre 10 ans, et qui n'est décédée seulement parce que j'avais pris la mauvaise habitude de la jeter contre mon caisson de basse après un bad beat à Chivalry.

u/Ehloanna · 2 pointsr/GirlGamers

Tom's Hardware/Tom's Guide is usually a pretty reliable resource, here's some reviews: https://www.tomsguide.com/us/pictures-story/1196-best-cheap-gaming-mice.html#s1

The G402 is also on sale right now for $29, normally $59: https://smile.amazon.com/Logitech-G402-Hyperion-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00LZVNWIA/

I actually used to use the G402 at home for gaming, but when I was gifted another mouse I brought it to work to use. I really love this mouse in terms of shape (good for a woman's smaller hand size), and weight (not too light, not too heavy).

u/escape_your_destiny · 2 pointsr/buildapc

Hey another G5 user! I still use mine too! I'm upgrading soon too, so I've been researching mice lately.

Look into the Logitech 402. It's not as crazy looking as the 502, and it also doesn't have the dual mode scroll wheel. But it doesn't have a tilt wheel, only the 502 does.

You can also still buy the 400s and the 500s.

u/Laurenz1337 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

This keyboard Logitech G105 (its -33% currently)

This mouse Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury (its -17% currently)

And if you don't already have one,

This mousemat SteelSeries QcK Gaming Mouse Pad

u/Nixflyn · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

You could go for the new G402. It's more-or-less the same mouse without some of the extras, such as a free-spinning wheel, on-the-fly profile switching, and 12,000 DPI (the G402 has 4,000 DPI).

u/liuwqf · 2 pointsr/truetf2

don't let people tell you what mice has the 'best shape' or 'best grip' without making your own homework: what's YOUR grip like? heard say that the g502 has excellent ergonomics, some people like it, some people don't, zowie FK1 (bigger than fk2) is seemingly good and has a simple design while maintaining strong capacities

In the end it's all about what you are most comfortable with, g502 and 402 have no mouse accel btw, if you're fine with no thumb rest and less buttons, you have no reason to pay more for the g502 and should get the g402 if you want a logitech mouse, goes for around $89 CDN (which is like $65) at CanadaComputers, but you can buy it from amazon at like $60 when not on-sale, right now prime are having an offer for $44 for it http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1464498803&sr=1-1&keywords=logitech+g402

but please, please, please, make your homework, look at all the suggested mice and don't buy one on a whim

u/Metaldrake · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

For $79, you can get a magicforce 68 and G402.

u/Rackhammm · 2 pointsr/buildapc

headset +
mouse = around $88

I'm sure there are much better hardware than these but at their price points, they are respectable.

u/Techley · 1 pointr/leagueoflegends

A mouse with a couple of programmable buttons and customized sensitivity should net you better performance than upgrading to a new keyboard. I have a Logitech G400 but they were discontinued. The new one is the Logitech G402 and I think it's great for the money. You can play with the horizontal and vertical sensitivities to your liking and set hotkey combinations to the side buttons.

u/EqulixV2 · 1 pointr/MouseReview

It's an older gen mouse but it's still high quality, has a good sensor and has the extra buttons you would need while not limiting you if you decided to jump to an fps like overwatch or something. On amazon you can get a refurbished one for 28$ with a 90 day warranty if you are comfortable with somthing like that.

u/AceWurhuck · 1 pointr/imdbvg

I literally just use this Haven't taken a big adventure with gaming mice but considering the last mouse I used was a standard Logitech wireless mouse this is a big step up! I like the sensitivity buttons. Makes it very useful when playing Overwatch and I have to switch heroes. Other than that, standard gaming mouse.

u/pixtax · 1 pointr/Guildwars2

IF you rather have less buttons, a Logitech G402 is nice too. Sturdy and precise, and very comfortable.

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA

u/Lonxu · 1 pointr/buildmeapc

I'd be looking at the entry level 1080p 144Hz monitors. Like https://jet.com/product/Acer-GN246HL-BBID-24-inch-Wide-Screen-LED-Monitor/0d71c51df29b4d3da77fbea292536537 could also use triple15 code to save 15% on it.

For rather cheap & good mouse: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA/ref=sr_1_1?s which is what I'm using myself actually.

u/Samurai_TwoSeven · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

The Logitech G402 is one of the most go-to gaming mice on the market. I personally prefer Roccat, Razer, or Corsair. However, I have no qualms with Logitech.

u/yeeb0p · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

yeah the g402 is $22 on amazon and pretty much everywhere. Pretty nice mouse, just a bit long for my 18cm hands and the two side buttons are a bit farther back than most mice.

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G402-Hyperion-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00LZVNWIA/ref=sr_1_3?keywords=g402&qid=1574000381&sr=8-3

u/psuerkdextre · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

you should check out this mouse: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

its supposed to be like the "updated" version of the mx518.

u/kleintrpt · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

Much better off getting a Logitech G402: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA

Will last a lot longer than a Razer mouse (their quality control has been pathetic for years)

u/0rangie · 1 pointr/Gamingcirclejerk

Quick! Someone recommend me a pc keyboard that will complement the mouse I currently own: Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury.

u/NoodleSaidSo · 1 pointr/apexuniversity

well the best mouse will be different for everybody but there are some really good deals on logitech mice right now, and logitech has always been a pretty solid company for gaming products. g402 hyperion fury is 63% off right now, i would suggest this one. you could also go for the g502 hero, which is 38% off, or its new color scheme companion, the g502 hero se, which is also at a big discount. however, because it's a new release and the deal is so good, there's high demand for the se version right now and may be difficult to get your hands on. i would suggest the g402 hyperion fury, because it's cheaper, lighter, more popular, and has 3 side buttons so you can bind them to your tac, ult, melee, or grenades.

Might as well get a g402 then, its on sale for about the same price http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA

u/yellowpotatobus · 1 pointr/buildapc

Not really. Its very heavy for fingertip use. It could work, but i think palm/claw grip fits it best.

You might wanna look at [Roccat Pyra] (http://www.roccat.org/Products/Gaming-Mice/ROCCAT-Pyra-Wired/), or the g402.

Or if you like Razer, Orochi. Maybe the CM Alcor since its so light, but I have no idea how good the CM storm drivers are.

u/towellz · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

The g402 looks pretty similar and is well rated. Steelseries and corsair have similar mice as well.

I was looking into this mouse and found a newer version at amazon link. it also seems to be around a little cheaper ($44.5 atm which seems to be the average price).

Here is a nice setup for a reasonable price.

Very nice mouse - I have this at work.

Drop down to a 1000W power supply. You don't need all the excess power.

Buy a pair of headphones, not headsets. Headphones come without a mic though but usually sound better, I recommend sennheiser HD558. Then buy a separate mic. For the mic I recommend Blue yeti (Great sound quality but pick up EVERYTHING and is 100$) Antlion modmic 4.0 (Not as good as blue yeti but better than headset mics and is 60$) or a Zalman Zm-Mic1 (Better than MOST headset mics and costs around 20$)

I wouldn't buy anything Raze because a lot of people (including me) have had problems with them, my biggest issue is the driver. It always freezes up. Anything that's razer that I bought has lasted for about half a year. Logitech is probably the longest lasting brand of anything that I've bought. I have a Logitech mouse from around 3-4 years ago that still works but I switched to an mmo mouse (Logitech g600) For FPS I recommend the G402 Hyperion Fury, for MMO I recommend the G60, and for a little bit of both I recommend the G602

Looks like the 502, but it's actually the G402

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G402-Hyperion-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00LZVNWIA

(I do have a 502 elsewhere though)

u/caerz · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Based on 20+ years of PC gaming... Don't skimp out on peripherals too much, and especially the mouse. Both your performance in games and the health of your wrists will profit massively.

If you only have $60, buy a good mouse first (a Logitech G402, maybe - great performance, decent features, and many people find the shape very comfortable), it should leave you a few bucks for any basic keyboard to get by with until you save up for a decent one.

At around $70-90 you can get something like Coolermaster QuickFire Storm Rapid, which is a basic, but decent mechanical keyboard. There are versions with different Cherry MX switch types, to suit your preference.

u/drfoqui · 1 pointr/buildapc

I recently got a Logitech G402 and I'm very happy with it. I think people here tend to recommend the G502 but for me it wasn't worth the price difference.

u/MordecaiWalfish · 1 pointr/pcgamingtechsupport

I've never paid more than $50 for a logitech mouse, personally.

Heres what I found:

G100S - $20, and pro gamers use it. No extra frills though, just a very basic mouse with a great sensor:

https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G100s-Optical-Gaming-package/dp/B00SH30V6A/ref=sr_1_7?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1473653079&sr=1-7&keywords=logitech

G402 is a good mouse for $40, but for some reason the seller is showing up as "Logimouse" instead of logitech, and you should be VERY wary of who the seller is on amazon, as they have become a popular place to sell chinese knockoffs. Contact amazon/logitech customer service to verify that they are genuine. A search in google did not turn up any useful information regarding the name "Logimouse". You could always get one and contact Logitech customer service with the serial number to verify it is genuine, and Amazon will take it back within 30 days I believe, maybe longer if it ends up being a knockoff. Just be careful of the seller name on Amazon because it really is a cesspool of chinese garbage there now:

I've heard a lot of buzz about the Logitech Hyperion Fury mouse http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1411857570&sr=8-1&keywords=logitech+g402

I also have a death adder. Just got it back on a warranty call for a failing middle mouse wheel. Haven't noticed pixel skipping but the mouse only lasted about 8 months before I had to return it. I was a long time Logitech user who finally decided to see what else was out there. I regret that decision and am eyeing that Hyperion and putting the Death Adder in the back-up drawer. GL.

Wow, what a cool company, thanks for doing a giveaway. I am currently using a Steelseries Mousepad and I use a Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury

Take this opportunity to get a better mouse!!!

Go with the Logitech G402 Hyperion Fury FPS Gaming Mouse

Under $40 on amazon right now!

This one looks good to me
Razer Deathadder for mice is nice
Logitech G300s or 402 will do just fine

I don't really play bullet but if I did I would go with something like this:

u/intrepped · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I wouldn't recommend this. You can get an MF68 with cherry or gateron blues for like $40-$60 and a decent mouse for $40-$50 too. I prefer gateron over cherry because it's smoother, but here's some listing:

MF 68 with G-blues

Logitech G402

Although non-rgb, the quality is more important than the aesthetics in my opinion. Your opinion may be different.

What are you looking for in general?

A full size keyboard, or a smaller one (tenkeyless)?

Does it need to be backlit or do you not care?

For a good inexpensive mouse I would recommend the Logitech G302 or G402 or Corsair Harpoon

u/sonkirito · 1 pointr/buildapc

Okay, so since you are playing "competitive games": this matters, if you arent than all that matters is the luxury standards you will accept, in your case you want a mouse with the best sensor available for your price. which looks like 36$ (I dont know how much shipping will cost) Keyboard however does not exactly matter as much as long as it suits your needs and modern day keyboards do not have as bad ghosting anymore that it wouldnt hold you back, (unless you are playing starcraft with a million keybinds and apm) so any usb keyboard you want is fine, Mouses are usually a little more expensive for the added advantage they will give you in competitive gaming, but generally nowadays top mouses are ones with a 3310/3360/3366 sensors in them but there are a few which are still good for cheaper options such as the 3059SS, common unknown brandcheap amazon/ebay mouses will not feature any of these sensors and present a noticable disadvantage in game when compared to one of these and lack quality, Sorry for the rant.
TLDR:

Smaller mouse, popular loved, decent sensor, good price!
https://www.amazon.com/SteelSeries-Rival-Optical-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B015WKY3FU/ref=pd_lpo_147_lp_t_4?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=AE17BKGQ5CD6P2P38H8N 30$

Bit bigger mouse, 2nd best sensor on the market, top 40 rated mouse, Newer, on sale!
1$ over budget https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LZVNWIA/ref=s9_acsd_simh_hd_bw_bRCy5r_c_x_w?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-4&pf_rd_r=RNHYCH8QH7YGSGFZN8VM&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=92298731-558b-5a64-b47d-713bc9d1bdaf&pf_rd_i=402052011

If you can spare a couple more dollars I highly suggest you take the G402 fast. as I doubt this sale will last too long, but if your budget is really tight the SSR100 is not a bad choice! :)

Edit: typos.

Cheap and reliable? You have to pay to play, son. Here. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA

Price match it. Logitech is very reliable and they use good sensors

1: Never said people play at <50 ping, I said they play at <150. My house has a constant 90-95 ping and my University dorm had a constant 30-40. I notice almost no difference at all between them thanks to the way Overwatch has lag compensation up to 200ms. At more than 200 the game becomes unplayable, so no, I don't think a particularly large portion of the community is playing at more than 150.

2: DPI means very little these days. I recently switched from This Amazon Basics mouse (1000 DPI) to [this] (https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Hyperion-Gaming-Fusion-910-004069/dp/B00LZVNWIA/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1468441966&sr=1-1&keywords=logitech+g402) Logitech G402. (250-4000 adjustable DPI) and after a point, DPI increase is nothing more than just a sensitivity increase, and playing at an absurdly high DPI actually becomes a disadvantage. I usually sit at around 1200 DPI, only 200 more than the Amazon mouse provides. As you can see from this spreadsheet, the majority of professional CSGO players don't even use as much as that $6 mouse provides.

3: In terms of casual, low MMR gameplay, the difference between 30fps and 60fps is not as extreme as it seems. We're talking less than 8 milliseconds of additional input delay which is not something that is going to make a difference until top level play where yes, better hardware is necessary.

I have the G402. Really good mouse.
