I'm a certified Mad Men addict who had great hopes for this when it was published and have to say it's pretty lame - all it is is recycled lines from the show (one per page!) with no context or new material. [Mad Men Unbuttoned] (https://www.amazon.com/Mad-Men-Unbuttoned-Through-America/dp/0061991007) is still the best show-related print tie-in.
If you want some cultural/historical context for the direction/style of some of the episodes, I'd recommend checking out Mad Men Unbuttoned. It's a light touch in most cases (meaning it's not super in-depth history lessons), but kinda fascinating and just confirms the thought and care put into the show.
