This study goes into some detail on the link between rising issues of ED in young men and internet porn (And also shows some interesting results in overall changes of behavior like delaying gratification when giving up pornography)

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5039517/

The point I was making above may have also been mentioned in this book, which is very well cited with specific sources. The book doesn't wholly focus on pornography, but also mentioned video games as another source of instant-gratification that serves to tune our brains to a short-term orientation (getting pleasure NOW) vs long-term orientation (delayed gratification, sacrificing now to benefit more later).

The specific claim I'm making about the visual stimulation may be a bit of my own experience mingled with a lot of the material I've read, but I feel it makes a lot of sense. I could sit there without visual stimulation and take 20, 30 minutes to get off, but if I pulled up porn I could be done in 30 seconds.

I'd be with a partner and I'd have to close my eyes and "visualize" porn to get off-- Like I couldn't even feel any pleasure from my dick unless it was somehow through those visual pathways. Not only that, but I felt really detached from the moment as well because of this, like I was "in my own head" and not really interacting with them, but just using them to get off.

Once I laid off the porn, the sex got much better. I was much more attuned to touch, I was present and more interactive, and overall just about everything improved.
