If you're looking on the budget end, these keyboards will all be on sale tomorrow:

u/wagass · 5 pointsr/pcmasterrace

I bought the same keyboard(minus the numpad) and it looks like a different brand, but same thing.

https://www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Tenkeyless/dp/B01DBVH16U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1505698509&sr=8-2&keywords=mechanical+eagle+z-77

I bought it as the kid wanted lights and i got it for 23 bucks. I have no complaints for 23 dollars.

Ohh this keyboard looks nice!

I currently have a MechanicalEagle Z-77 and I kinda want to switch for this logitech instead even tho I really like the MechanicalEagle.... (I have a logitech Keyboard and Headset).

What do you guys think?

These Chinese ones are pretty much all the same. For about a year and a half now, random Chinese companies have been buying them up wholesale from Chinese factories, putting their own random branding on them, and then shipping them to the US to sell them via Amazon Prime.

Back when Amazon allowed companies to give out freebies and/or coupons in exchange for positive reviews, I snagged this one for $16 (and no, I didn't review it):
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DBVH16U/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's extremely similar to other ones I found reviewed on YouTube including identical logos (despite being branded by a different company) and the same broken English instructions so it's safe to say most of the stuff from China is identical.

Some people say these ones use counterfeit/clone Cherry MX blue switches but that is a disservice. These Goate/Otemu ones are pretty decent. They're not as good as Cherry MX blue but they're definitely worth the cheap as hell price that they are asking for.

A mechanical keyboard for $20 is a no brainer.

I've been using the one I bought since April at work and I've had no problems. I answer customer service emails for a small company so I put it through a lot of work.

Thanks pal,
This picture is from a while ago, I currently use a Corsair K70, but I believe this is the board I had when I took this picture. Its a super budget board, but I loved it. Quality is superb for the price.

u/TurnDownForTendies · 3 pointsr/Deusex

side note, my roommate just got this when it was on sale for $30
https://www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B01DBVH16U/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1478221653&sr=8-2&keywords=otemu+blue

If you didnt already order you could consider this one. Its got decent build quality, a ridiculous amount of led light modes (if youre okay with the color scheme), and the switches feel and sound very similar to cherry blues. Very good budget mech imo

EDIT: I'm ordering that mem-chanical one as well just out of curiosity now

u/Trazac · 3 pointsr/pcmasterrace

He might have meant the MecahnicalEagle Z77, which I think he's right. I have the same keyboard minus the replacement keycaps.

u/WouldYouBlindly · 3 pointsr/pcmasterrace

Nice. I have a MechanicalEagle which appears to be similar having the same keys and metal plate. It has served me well, but is starting to show its age. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another just like it.

u/dramahitler · 3 pointsr/buildapc

Out of those two I'd go with the K30 since its full size and cheaper. However, you're around the price range of the budget mechanical keyboards, such as these:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B01DBVH16U/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1473187393&sr=8-7&keywords=mechanical+keyboard

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mechanical-Keyboard-HAVIT-Backlit-Switches/dp/B01HXF68G4/ref=sr_1_31?ie=UTF8&qid=1473187454&sr=8-31&keywords=mechanical+keyboard

If you don't mind having a clicky blue switch then I'd highly recommend one of those instead of a membrane keyboard.

u/teh_geetard · 3 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

To start you off:

  • Tenkeyless (TKL, 80%): MechanicalEagle Z-77 with blue Outemu switches (cheap Cherry MX clones)
  • 60%: Anne Pro with blue, brown or red Gateron switches (great Cherry MX clones, even better according to many on this sub)

Custom keycap sets: MAX Keyboard, WASD
u/balward · 2 pointsr/buildapcsales

RBG Keyboard is Mechanical Eagle Z-77 stock, got it on a pricing error for $9 it's actually surprisingly well built and the switches aren't terrible. The other is a Vortex Pok3r Cheryy MX Blues with DSA Eve keycaps, and a red spacebar.

I recently bought the desk from a guy who built it. The only prebuilt part was the legs. The power cords for the Edison bulbs run through the pipe which is nice. The platforms for speakers can move out and in and also rotate. There is actually I pipe that runs down the center with a VESA mount on it. It currently has a 24" monitor mounted to it, but it's hiding behind my ultrawide. I have a dual vertical mount coming on Friday and I'm going to put the 24" above the UW.

Unfortunately the faucet handles are just for looks. Would be super rad to some how wire them as dimmers or something of the sorts.

Thanks for drawing the face, it now cannot be unseen :P

u/trieu26 · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

There is no best, it depends on the person. I like a 34 dollar TKL (I still like this one) with blue switches, but I also replaced it with a ducky. Just look around, I checked review videos so I can hear the keyboard. https://mechanicalkeyboards.com/shop/

u/xxxSEXCOCKxxx · 2 pointsr/Drugs

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01DBVH16U/ref=yo_ii_img?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Here's the exact model I got. It is extremely solid. It feels like I could run it over with my car. It has a few different light settings that are pretty cool. Not as versatile in that area as a higher end kb, but for the price I don't think you can beat it easily. There are lots of other similar keyboards in the price range too

u/KevoTheGuy · 2 pointsr/pcmasterrace

I highly recommend this one for $40: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DBVH16U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The build quality for the price is really good. The switches are Gaote / Outemu Blue switches, not Cherry MX's, but they feel really nice still, though this is my first mechanical keyboard so I can't compare.
I've had it for 3 months so far and not a single problem, and I'm happy with it!

u/malidy · 2 pointsr/keyboards

https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DBVH16U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I used this one for the past year and it's been a joy to use. It just takes up more room in my backpack than I'd like

u/xStayHungry · 2 pointsr/buildapc

This is a great starting point, thanks! I'm also traveling for Thanksgiving, so I'll research each of these after. I have all the peripherals already (this monitor, keyboard ($9 on /r/buildapcsales), and mouse), and also bought a Crucial MX300 750GB SSD I found for $99 on /r/buildapcsales.

u/LG34- · 2 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

They're pretty much the same keyboard, the second one you linked has no rgb lighting but there is an rgb version of it for £10 more. If you're gonna use it for csgo, you probably won't need the numpad so i'd say the second option (or the one i linked if you want rgb) is a better choice

Looks like its on sale right now. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DBVH16U?psc=1

The 10 million actuation life cycle of each switch is a giveaway that it isn't, as well as mechanical only being mentioned in the title and not in the description. These keyboards are a similar price and mechanical: https://www.amazon.com/TOMOKO-MMC023-Mechanical-Keyboard-Anti-ghosting/dp/B01DBJTZU2/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1467678605&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=mechanical+keyboard&psc=1, www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Switches/dp/B01DBVH16U/ref=sr_1_28?ie=UTF8&qid=1467678680&sr=8-28&keywords=mechanical+keyboard, and www.amazon.com/AULA-Mechanical-Keyboard-Professional-Switches/dp/B01EFR1SFY/ref=sr_1_31?ie=UTF8&qid=1467678709&sr=8-31&keywords=mechanical+keyboard.

I'm using the following, https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DBVH16U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Im very very happy with this purchase.

u/[deleted] · 1 pointr/buildapc

Here's a decent mechanical, and is marketed towards exactly what happened to you.

u/Wyleymonks1 · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Here is a mechanical not mechanical like it's has real switches they are load with a click and a bump with no number pad but it's like 30 dollar https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01DBVH16U?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&th=1

u/Dagger32304 · 1 pointr/buildapc

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01DBVH16U?psc=

This is the board I use currently, it's Tenkeyless so it doesn't have a number pad but it does have multiple back lighting modes. It may look a little cheaply made and it kinda is, but it's a great beginner board to know if you want to get into mechs, also it's very loud and clicky and if anyone else lives with you they will hate you.

u/Dkim620 · 1 pointr/hardwareswap

https://www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Replaceable/dp/B01DBVH16U

This is a good buy. I have the 104 Key White Version though, but it's nice. Loud, clicky blue switches which may or may not be for you though.

u/Lenfried · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

Bought this one on amazon a few days back, it's pretty good. Prefer these Cherry MX clones over real Cherry MX blues.

u/wakeandbakon · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

MechanicalEagle Z-77 off Amazon?

u/Rockesphere · 1 pointr/buildapc

Not really any mechs lower than $40. But I know Amazon and NewEgg has some around 40-60 with Kailh, Gateron or MX clone switches. Stuff like this https://www.amazon.com/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Replaceable/dp/B01DBVH16U

u/brodaki · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

thanks so much for your detailed response and advice. My gut instinct is to immediately throw money I don't have because this shit looks so cool. But I should probably wait for a deal..

I requested to be included on that drop..you think it will go through?

What do you think of these for starters? Would most caps like the ones we are talking about work well with these keyboards?

keyboard 1 keyboard 2

u/stumpysharcat · 1 pointr/buildapcsales

On this keyboard, the switches are soldered. Even if they were Cherry Blues, not worth the time to remove. Much easier to get a Z-77 , comes with 5 spare switches and puller

u/peiweisgreat · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

If you are looking for a good first keyboard around that price I would recommend this one.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/MechanicalEagle-Multicolor-Mechanical-Keyboard-Replaceable/dp/B01DBVH16U/ref=sr_1_63?ie=UTF8&qid=1499726228&sr=8-63&keywords=mechanical%2Bkeyboard&th=1

Its got good reviews online and you will definitely appreciate a solid build quality. If you are willing to spend a bit more you could get the rgb too, but I don't care too much for lighting.

u/ilikesupermario · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Hello, I'm looking to get in the game with my first mechanical keyboard. I Was wonder about the quality of this Mechanical Eagle or if it would better to get the Magicforce recommend in the wiki.; Also, if you have any under suggestions, I'm looking for something 50$ or under on Amazon.

u/Bubbaluke · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

I just picked up a mechanicaleagle z77 for $35 bucks. Knockoff blue switches but the thing feels and looks incredible. Look up some reviews, not all knockoff mechs are bad.

u/Darkglasses25 · 1 pointr/starcraft

I use a MechanicalEagle Z-77, it's not bad for the price but not a top quality keyboard really. The lighting options are amazing and just for the looks, it's awesome, but the feel of the own-brand switches is not so good. Feels fairly imprecise and cheap.

u/klepperx · 1 pointr/buildapc

I see 338 reivews from amazon including a Q&A section. what more were you looking for sir?

u/Viper_ACR · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

Hey,

I'm looking for a recommendation for a quiet, LED backlit, tenkeyless mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Brown switches. It's for work, and I write a bunch of software for SoC validation. Ideally my LEDs would be RGB and programmable to different colors. Budget is like under $150, <$120 would be really nice.

My current keyboard is a $40 designed-and-made-in-China Amazon keyboard with knockoff blue switches and it is REALLY loud. Amazon link to the keyboard I have here. It's got Outemo blue switches I think.

I have found that my wrists and forearms do start to ache if I'm typing for a while as well. So that's why I'm trying to stick with lighter switches (I was a big fan of MX Greens partly because I'm a MX Blue fan first and foremost, but 1. MX Greens are rarer and 2. my coworker has MX Greens and they are a little loud but not bad at all on his Poker keyboard, but I could definitely feel the difficulty in pressing each key compared to lighter keyswitches).

Thanks in advance.

u/rebornxelectrical · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

I'm looking to buy this keyboard. Do you guys think it's worth 40 bucks and are there any other keyboards you guys would recommend me. Thanks

u/jackscapee · 1 pointr/pcmasterrace

If you don't want to shell out a lot of money, go for the E-Element Z-77. If you have money to spend, go for the MasterKeys Pro S.

Edit: Links and punctuation

u/Metaldrake · 1 pointr/MechanicalKeyboards

LED colours and keycaps look more like a Z-77.

u/LordSillyWilly-II · 0 pointsr/MechanicalKeyboards

Usb hubs wouldn't really work for my setup unless it was weighted and had a relatively long cable. That is a nice looking keyboard though, are there any thoughts on this brand though? It's much cheaper, for one.

u/S3v3n13tt3r5 · 0 pointsr/buildapcsales

I bought a cheap Chinese "replaceable" keyboard with crap cherry clones for $36, bought 50 Gateron Brown keys off ebay for $10. In the end i will have keyboard that can easily be modded for ~$46.
