They make pill dispensers that will release your day's pills. They generally hold up to 28 slots, and so you can program them to release a day at a time ... or even release pills on a specific schedule up to 4 or 5 times/day.

I've found this one to be the most robust, while still being relatively affordable. They make institutional ones that are a lot more expensive, but can hold more pills and have more advanced features like text/phone notifications for your care-taker and that sort of thing.

The cheaper ones don't really lock properly and can be opened with a screw driver ... though this one is sturdy enough that the keys properly lock and it's not easily popped open.
