So I was recently given this: MG217 Psoriasis 3% Salicylic Acid Shampoo and Conditioner - a Psoriasis, Seborrheic Dermatitis and Dandruff Treatment, 8 Ounce https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01ETWZYYQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_QQkYAb4B4H41E
Also have my eye on these: Dermarest Psoriasis Medicated Shampoo & Conditioner, Salicylic Acid 3%, Soothing Zinc Complex, fragrance free formula helps remove scales and control scalp build ups. (Pack of 6) Packaging may vary https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002OHE7RO/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_dSkYAbV75SG1V
Are either of these viable options? Thank you so much!
I would definitely see a dermatologist.
It could even be something like eczema or psoriasis with the itching. They can cause flakes too with the patches of dry skin.
Edit:
If you want to you could try a shampoo with salicylic acid in it, such as this. That's what I've been suggested from my derm when I had a patch of psoriasis on my scalp.
