Found Surface 3 with 4GB RAM for $321 with 64 GB SSD.
Also, found Surface 3 with 4GB RAM, 128GB SSD with LTE for $365.
The 128GB SSD + 4GB RAM one without LTE comes for $350
Add 135$ for base model of Keyboard and stylus.
Also, I've read that you can use the newer Keyboard and stylus as they're backward compatible and enhance the experience very very significantly.
You could go up to $327, I'd recommend the Surface 3 (non-pro)
For something light, I'd go with this and get yourself a good keyboard with a trackpad.
If you want more of a laptop, try this.
