I have this one and I absolutely love it. I cannot recommend it enough.
I have this Moko case. It is really nice. Only complaint is, the stylus doesn't lay flush and juts out a tiny bit. But for the price, I can't complain and highly recommend it!
I personally prefer cases that don't cover the bezel. Like this.

had this on my wish list for the longest. I dont know why the in the blue blazes i havent bought it yet
its perfect, and dirt cheap
So I found this:

I'm waiting on this case to come out in white. I had it for my iPad and loved it.
Another question for everyone, do you happen to know if any of the keyboard/case combos are worth the money? I am thinking of using my N7 to take notes in class this coming semester. More specifically have you heard much about this keyboard/case. Also are there any apps that would let me take notes like MS Word or Open Office? I was hoping there would be a Google Docs app but I cant seem to find one.
That's totally a clone of the Moko case I bought from Amazon, minus the optimizations that Moko made based on customer complaint, i.e. Speaker holes, button cut out placement, hand strap and no magnetic clasp. The final Moko one is great, and it was only $5 more. I'd return it and order this:

i have this case and I really like it. Its pretty slim, and it seems to fit the tablet well. I didn't want a case that completely covers the bezel when open, so I went with this one as its the only "clip" style one I found. Smart cover works great, there were some issues with the originals turning the display off when wrapped around the back, but the one I have (shipped august 1st) works perfect.
Ditto. I actually got it here, but it appears to be the same.
Sure when it comes i'll let you know what I think
EDIT EDIT: Looking at the link for the MoKo case, that is exactly what I got. Mine is the "newest version" looking at the 4th image comparing the backs of the two. I am positive now these are the same case, but my thoughts are below
Just came in, initial impressions are nice. The case comes with an elastic strap to secure the cover while using it as well.
Just putting the strap over eats up a bit of the screen. I've pulled away the middle section and wrapped that back behind and hooked it on the "latch" to keep it closed (see 2nd image from Arrowmaster's Moko link). The elastic strap is only contacting at the two corners, but still holds the cover against the back.
The hand strap isn't bad. I can use it on either hand in either position. For reference, my hand is about the same size as the nexus itself. If you are a lefty you might have issues using the hand strap on your right hand unless you put the tablet in "upside down". There are a series of holes for the speaker so it may or may not affect usage, but you could hold it with the camera at the bottom.
I can snap some pictures if anyone is interested, but the amazon page pretty much covers the basics.
There's also a multi angle one from MoKo for 99 cents here
Wow, that Moko Case really IS identical! How does that work, I wonder? The Poetic case says "Poetic" right in the leather on the cover.

In all the reviews I looked at, it consistently was top of it's class and it works great. I use it daily, take it everywhere and never an issue.
I use the Moko Slim-fit case; I've never dropped my nexus so I can't tell you how well the case does in protection but it's a really solid case that functions well.

MoKo case: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008FLYROG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00
This particular smart case suffers from the issue where the magnet is too strong and turns the N7 off when the cover is flipped behind the case. MoKo is fixing the issue and shipping out new, fixed cases, but if you're interested in seeing the issue, here is a video:

Agree with others...same as the MoKo case I got off Amazon.
It's OK for the price. Not the highest quality and probably won't last all that long...but it was $15.
I've been very happy with this MoKo case and amazed at the low price. Fifteen bucks!
If you already have the keyboard sorted out, there are plenty of choices to choose from. I did some lengthy research and determined that this one was the best for me - maybe you'll like it too.link
I don't think you are going to find one pre-made, but what you could do, is buy one of these, some craft enamel, some stencils, and paint it onto the case yourself. Or free-hand it if you prefer the "hand-written" look.
Pretty much agreed. I ordered the Poetic and have just received my third gen version. Very happy with this revision. Seems to have solved almost all the major issues and the front flap now wraps around flat on the back out of the box. Great revision.
In the meantime I also ordered this Moko case: http://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Automatic-Protective-Multi-angle-Lifetime/dp/B008FLYROG which is an excellent case and alternative.
To compare the two: the moko is a bit padded on front and back and has a good feel to it. The N7 comes out of the Moko case much easier.
The Poetic is much more slim and clean looking however and I like the molded case. It's harder to get the N7 out, but since it will mostly live in the case I'm not concerned (I used the 2nd gen Poetic for several weeks and was pleased with leaving it in other than the 2nd gen case defects)
I'll be using the Poetic going forward, my only concern is the edges of the front flap grooves which cracked on my first and second gen units.
Cant help but I am also interested in a cross platform SMS app. I recently purchased an iPad for development work and really miss not having something like DeskSMS.
For the cover, I like the real leather Moko case that you can get from Amazon. Its a bit stiff when new but it breaks in really nice, the fake leather ones are also good though.

For 'must have apps', get all the Google stuff. If you are looking for a really fun game try The Bards Tale. Really been enjoying that one.
What country are you from? I would go on staples.com and have one shipped to the closest store (seems to be 7131 West 135th Street, Overland Park, KS) for pickup so you are guaranteed a N7. Not within 6 days but getting a 16 GB version is your best bet for a perfect Nexus 7. I would recommend the MoKo Slim-fit case. I am pretty sure the slim-fit case is the updated version of the slim case.
I ordered all three kinds, it was $7.99 for all three styles.

Only differences I'm seeing between them are how the kickstand works and how much of the bezel is actually covered. But considering it's $4.99 for one or $7.99 for all three, I figured I can try them out and then either sell them or hang on to them in case one breaks.
Identical to this one that I ordered, and it is in stock.
Get a refund and go HERE for a new case. We own a carbon fiber blue and indigo, and they are as good as new after one year. The auto wake feature is a must have and it works great.
Awesome case and cheap, I had one when I had a N7.

Not sure why it's a ref link ?
