:-D I totally feel your pain though, I'm hoping for an active digi + convertible FF in one of the competitor products. There's a good chance we'll see something interesting from the ONEGx. Sadly this wont help you with finding another use for the win 1. At best you can buy a powered capacitive stylus with a sharper tip ( https://www.amazon.com/MoKo-Compatible-High-Precision-Capacitive-Replacement/dp/B077HQ5SMP?ref_=fsclp_pl_dp_4 ) as an example. Those kinds of pens could also have pressure data transmitted via bluetooth with driver support, but i've typically only seen them working on mobile with very specific apps. YMMV, and as an owner of several, i can tell you the experience is nowhere near Wacom or N-trig digitizers. Still it might be better than nothing.
