It's up to $17 now, must have gotten it on sale.

This was a number of years ago but the ones they sold in the Apple Stores (I think it was either InCase or Fleck) were good and didn't really cause any heat issues. I figured so long as none of the vents were blocked and and it had feet to keep some air around it it would be ok. Apparently not.
