A bit expensive for ride-sharing, good if your getting it for other reasons and ride-sharing is just a bonus. I bought a cheap, like $7.99 cable that has all the different charge ends attached to one cable, and plug it into the cig lighter in the arm rest, I've rarely had a situation where more than 1 pax needed a charge at same time.

The one that just came out pretty much just has extended battery. It's not a new Switch, just better technology. I have an original one and love it. The battery life would be great, but not completely necessary (and I almost only play it undocked). You will probably see the older ones going on sale locally as people upgrade for the batter battery.
The Switch Lite comes out Sept 20, but you can't take the Joy cons off, it doesn't have controller rumble, battery lasts longer, and it can't be docked. This is best suited for single player use and only in portable mode.
I preordered the Lite for me and my kids will use the original because they play it docked all the time.
