If you have $100 to spend:

these diaper covers (4 - 2 for each baby) http://www.amazon.com/Imagine-Baby-Products-Newborn-Diaper/dp/B00FMHFS7G/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1412880238&sr=8-1&keywords=imagine+newborn+diaper+cover

or these covers

you'll need to switch to the one size diaper covers once they out grow these covers OR if they are already on the bigger size you can just buy the one size covers. My baby still uses the Imagine newborn covers and he is 6 months and over 15 pounds.

these diaper inserts 2 sets of 12

These will last you a very long time.

You'll need to do laundry every day. You can throw in other clothes with them no problem. I use Tide free and clear original and it works perfectly. Good luck!

If you can't afford the $100 you could look for deals on fb consignment shops or ebay and buy used diaps for a little less.

I am a lazy cloth diaper user. I only have maybe ten diapers that currently fit my daughter. My husband hates them so I tend to not use them on his days off. I use them on and off. I recently got disposable inserts (100 for like $7) which makes them much easier since I don't have a sprayer hooked up. I use and prefer pockets and stuff them with a charcoal/bamboo insert. The diapers I have are half Alva brand and half not branded. I got the Alvas from Amazon and the others from the app PatPat. I have never used ones with velcro because I feel that would be easier for my daughter to rip off. I do plan on getting more but will get them from aliexpress(I mostly order from mumsbest). I have ordered a couple from there as gifts and they seem like any of the others I have only very inexpensive. As long as you don't mind waiting for shipping it's a good deal. When I first got the diapers I would wash with powdered original Tide and hang them to dry. Now I was them with liquid original Tide and dry them in the dryer on low. I do a prewash cycle first with just the dirty diapers with hot water then add her clothes and do a regular cold cycle. Then I dry it all together. It doesn't add too much extra time to my laundry routine.
Hope this helped.

I like bamboo because they feel pretty dry even when wet. That's not what they're advertised for, but it amazes me when I unstuff my pockets that the bamboo insert barely feels damp. Those sucker's hold a lot of pee.

I just recommend buying them from cheaper outlets. My favorite bamboo inserts are [Naturally Natures](https://www.amazon.com/Naturally-Natures-Inserts-Charcoal-Reusable/dp/B00KN0TPNA&ved=0ahUKEwjsm_CJvZHVAhWYw4MKHdl6BiUQFggdMAA&usg=AFQjCNEwUQPYYefLBNRmqYo-NZbt0mJ2uA] from Amazon.

Are these inserts (https://www.amazon.com/Naturally-Natures-Inserts-Charcoal-Reusable/dp/B00KN0TPNA/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8&coliid=I1K7L3KC8EC1OA&colid=3656L1E79059X) too large to use for a Alva cover with a 8-10lb baby? Do I just fold them over to fit with the diaper set on the smallest buttons?

I've only had one item destroyed by the postal office, but they paid replacement cost on it, not my initial cost. If your package was insured they likely will go that route. Even if it wasn't, it was their error, and I would push until they pay for replacements.

Unsolicited tidbit: Naturally Nature bamboo inserts are great and pretty cost effective at <$30 for 12. I've got 3 packs of the charcoal that I used to take A LOT of bulk out of my diapers.
