Navigating the Land of IF is my go-to recommendation. The main focus is infertility, but it really covers all aspects. I haven't picked it up in a while, but I believe it talks about adoption too (i just can't remember how much).

Also, I just started (and by started, I mean I'm already halfway through) Instant Mom. I'm enjoying it so far and think it might be of interest to you.

I'm reading Navigating the Land of IF and it's really good but holy hell the stuff about IVF is intimidating. (The book does mention some stuff about how to manage overwhelming feelings/practicalities if you're interested -- like breaking down your meds stash into baggies and hiding them so you don't have to look at the whole thing all the time).

A lot of people do it and get through it just fine though! And hopefully it's not a thing you'll have to do over again.
