I do alot of Overlanding so I carry a pretty advanced medkit. To save money on the box instead of going with pelican I went with a similar case at Walmart, cant remember the brand but its water proof as well.

I just carry laxative, asprin, benedryl, bismuth subcarbonate, hydrogen peroxide, boric acid ointment, iodine swabs, quickstop, some gauze, dressing wraps, those brown compression thingys, various bandage sizes, cotton pads(dollar store), scissors, tweezers, and gloves. I carry all that in various amounts in a plastic case like I mentioned, very similar to this http://www.amazon.ca/Neewer-Waterproof-Shockproof-Protective-Cameras-Ideal/dp/B00RV53XBA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1450752812&sr=8-1&keywords=plastic+case

All that is then kept inside the truck behind the back seat. I have a minor medkit right inside the back door of the bedcap on the drivers side, its held to the wall with velcro straps so if you need it you just rip the cord and off it comes. It just has a shit ton of gauze, sheets torn up to make bandages and some quickstop.

Most of the kits cost me nothing as it was stuff given to me by the hospital after my surgery and since they can't take it back I kept it for good use.
