Nope because the lens 55-200 isn't the VR one.

All of that comes to 617.35 and is prime eligible and are good products you are not going to trash in 3 days. Get things like a tripod, and filters when you need them. A good tripod will run you at least $100 for a basic, $200-300 for a good one.

I have a Nikon D3500, with the kit lens (18-55mm, f/3.5-5.6). I've been having a blast learning with it, and I especially love going hiking and taking nature shots and landscapes, and even the occasional wildlife shot if I get lucky. I am also interested in trying out some cityscape photography, and maybe some street photography soon. I was thinking about getting a second lens to have a little more variety, which of the following would you guys recommend?

Nikon 55-200mm, f/4-5.6

Sigma 17-70, f/2.8-4

Nikon 18-140, f/3.5-5.6

This 70-300mm will give you plenty of reach. From what I understand it's a pretty good zoom lens for the price, although a bit large. It should be a step up from the cheaper version. On the other hand, the 55-200mm is a budget option and a good compliment to the kit lens, however I have to say the build quality is very cheap. I don't really like using mine because it feels so plasticy. The optical quality is solid, though.

You could also get a superzoom like the 18-140mm. That will give you a ton of range in one lens.

Amateur here, shoot trains (which follows the same concept as landscape photos, usually). The first rule is:

The best camera is the one that's with you when you're ready to take a photo.

I shoot with the same body as you, for the most part (except when it's dead, I left it at home, I'm flying my drone, or I want to prove a point with a cell phone).

The starter telephoto lens you want is a Nikkor 55-200mm f/4-5.6G VR II DX AF-S ED. It won't reach things a mile away, but for your use it's a good start. There's a 55-300mm version out there that's a bit more expensive, but I don't own one (it doesn't fit my needs shooting trains) and it's known for heavy distortion in the corners.

Currently in the middle of a vacation, and the Nikkor 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 G VR is a fairly good lens, currently $102 on amazon. I wouldn't bother with any zoom lenses (55-200mm) unless you plan on taking pictures of object that are far away

So I think I found a current gen model thag is certified refurbished at a fantastic price: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B013FB9ZT2/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_M.jxxbX6W29AW.

Since it's only a $15 add on, should I get a lens hood to protect from glare off of ice?
