I find that gels, pastes, etc. are like running glue through my hair and I feel like I'm ripping out every single hair when I style it. The Nioxin cream is a bit like that but much less tacky.

I use them interchangeably, but tend to use the spray more. I spray some on damp hair, then use a blowdryer on low heat and low setting to style. I have been having good results with these products.
