I'm thinking about going to that 27th game. If I brought a poster tube similar to this one, will Prudential let it in?

Ok, thanks for the replies. Think I'm going to go with this, decent reviews and not too pricey.

I've got a few tubes like these that I use for larger bits of gel, and a duffel bag with smaller bits and small rags in. CT in one tube, common fx in another, etc...

I'm thinking about this one. Not sure if it's overkill.

40 inches should be more than enough for any poster I'd get at a con.

/u/BeatVids, I'm late to the game, but want to enter another BIG yes vote for the Chrome Industries bags. I'm in a similar situation. In my case, in addition, I have multiple bikes (which means I need to wear a bag, rather than mount one, for versatility) and will ride in any weather that isn't icy, including torrential downpours, with my stupidly expensive, 8lb 17" work laptop in the bag.

My solution is a Chrome Metropolis, which while it's no longer offered, is a slightly bigger version of the Chrome Citizen messenger bag. I loathe wearing bags on a bike, and yet I don't mind this one a bit, even with the enormous laptop, lunch, and anything else I need to wear to work in it. Their strapping system is secure and comfortable. The Metropolis will still hold a hard hat in addition to the laptop and my lunch in a soft cooler, half scale (11x17) drawings, and if I need to transport full size drawings I can carry them in a waterproof poster tube strapped up under the messenger bag flap.

I've done 100+ mile rides with this bag through rain so hard and constant that the inside of the bag was the only thing dry on the bike, me included.

With the Metropolis gone, Chrome's other messenger bags are also similarly constructed and durable. The Citizen isn't quite as big, but that said, the Metropolis is HUGE (it will swallow a full case of beer). My wife uses the much smaller Mini Metro on her bike, and it has no trouble with her conventionally sized 15" laptop and gear. It's been similarly durable and reliable, and was largely why I went for Chrome bags in the first place.

This is the one I have. It works well for 2 mats, rolled together. I have a ton of posters. If you want the official one sold inside the venue, I would suggest going in right when the doors open. Yes, the demand is highly dependent on the artist, but sometimes a poster that you think won't sell out will. If you really want the poster for that night, just get in the venue early.

I hate carrying merch around the venue. If you can, have a friend stand on the other side of the entrance and pass him/her the poster to put in your car. I can't speak for every venue, but it is extremely easy to do this at MPP. If you can't do this, buy one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Nozlen-Expanding-Document-Poster-Inches/dp/B00DGWRHQY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1404221332&sr=8-1&keywords=Poster+tube
