There is a reason behind everything I wrote here, so I'm not interested in dealing with inaccuracies of this sort like when he stated that the thing has been out for 2 full years? Was he counting since it was announced? Correct me if I'm wrong but it was only actually available for ordering much later in 2015? I'm really not interested in dealing with this, I just wanted to share on that upcoming update that may interest people, he should indeed try to look for fixes on his own, but I'm really not interested in adding to this conversation if I'm having to lecture people on things, I'm neither a lawyer nor I work for Sensics.
OSVR HDK 2 looks promising, but it requires too many work arounds to get vive games working with it (Like Playstation move service). Definally not a consumer product yet, but as it is currently $300, it might be worth if it you don't mind hacking around with it or troubleshooting without many guides. Also SteamVR natively supports it, for some games.
You can purchase it from amazon.com. I paid $684 NZD including shipping and import fees. It actually arrived ahead of schedule as amazon is probably the best online shop in the world.
If your primary OS is GNU/Linux, I would advise not buying one though. As you simply can't do anything with it.
