Downscaling and using sharpening might be a good idea if your computer is able to use it. Otherwise I used to use ISLC which increased my FPS in a lot of games (this will probably help you a lot because you only have 6GB of RAM) Other than that you could probably get a laptop cooling pad which might help, but I don’t have very much experience with them. Also make sure your power plan is on high performance when plugged in, and close all the programs in the background that you can. I would also test out rendering DOTA with Vulkan vs DX11 as they can also help improve FPS. I don’t think this will make a huge difference but it also might be worth trying to install Windows LTSC as it doesn’t have any of the bloatware normal windows does (Cortana, XBOX, Candy crush, etc) The last thing you can try is undervolting your CPU so it can get better temps and keep the boost clocks higher for longer, but that can be tricky and I wouldn’t recommend it unless you know what you are doing or like to tinker.
