I personally use perfumes that I don't like to wear as often to spray in my closet (get rid of that musty smell) or to spray in my sock drawer. A trick I was taught was to take some socks you don't really wear anymore and douse them in perfume and then bury them in your dresser. Keeps your clothes smelling fresh for a long time!
As for perfume scents I love, my favorite are floral scents.
Rose by Paul Smith is my all time favorite perfume. This is the perfect pure rose scent. I get so many compliments when I wear this perfume and I now have the big bottle after finishing the small one.
Juicy Couture Original, Viva La Juicy and Juicy Couture Couture are three of my daily go tos. They are also floral scents, but seem to have lots of sweet fruit undertones as well.
The first perfume I ever fell in love with was Armani Mania. Its been discontinued and brought back quite a few times so its rather expensive now, but I'm on my second bottle. This is more of a woodsy scent to me but still has a little bit of a sweet undertone.
Perfume is one of the few things that I really splurge on and I've been lucky to receive it over the years as presents. I have a very strong sense of smell and I also tie memories to certain scents so my perfumes mean quite a lot to me. I wish you luck in finding scents that you enjoy, and the best way to go about it is to stop at a nearby department store and get to sniffing! :)
