Yeah, basic pencil brushes are super similar to more expensive versions. When you're working with stiff, small brushes, there is much less variety between low and high end.
I use this one from Amazon and I find it to be identical to my MAC 219 pencil brush.
I have sensitive eyes, and this is my favorite pencil brush:

I also have the Chikuhodo T8, and this has a fine point for similar precise placement, but also the smallest little slant from the tip to allow blending over a greater surface area. I use this for both blown-out lower lash shadow as well and precise shadow stamping right by the lower lash line (for when I'm working with more powdery formulas).
I'm still looking for an even softer pencil brush that's still effective, but for $10, this is working well for me for the time being :).
