Yeah, my dog is pretty focused on playing too. However, just today she got distracted by another dog and if not for the leash I would have been pretty nervous, even though she plays nice. Like I said, my main concern is that she LOVES people. If someone acknowledges her presence, they may get a 60 lb. wet dog jumping on them saying "HELLO! NICE TO MEET YOU!"
The leash fixes all that, though. It's easy to get used to. Just don't let him wrap around trees or logs and you're good to go. I can also consistently throw 50 ft. now. Haha.
