I was about to sell mine until i found this, and then hacked it so i could play games off it including emulators for virtually every system up to the PSX

Mhm that’s why. I’ll provide the links below to the two things you need. First, I’ll give you the link to the SD card I bought. You don’t need this if you already have a micro SD card you want to use. Now the important thing is this adapter. It allows you to put in a micro SD and put it in the psp.

Micro SD card:

Adapter

Here is another adapter where you can insert two micro SD cards and it will combine them, if that’s something you are interested in. It’s a bit overkill, but that’s what some people want!

Dual adapter

Hope this helps!

This doesn't say what class the memory cards are. If they're class 2 (which they prob are) it may not work for him. He's better off getting 2 of these http://www.amazon.com/Sandisk-16GB-MicroSDHC-Memory-Class/dp/B001F7AJKI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334237949&sr=8-1 and one of these http://www.amazon.com/PhotoFast-MicroSDHC-Adapter-Converts-MicroSD/dp/B001B6EAOY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1334237985&sr=8-1 and he'll still save $9.00 from your link.

Works with the psp.

Source: I have one in mine with 2 16gb cards in it, 32gb total space.

well ps1 and ps2 games have no copy protection really, if your making a backup, imgburn will do, just make bin/cues for playstation and i would go with iso's for ps2, the only reason why i say Bin/cue is that in retroarch medafenpsx (or whatever its called) will only do bin/cue files. if your going for accuracy read at a slow speed, and maybe do multiple dumps and compare using a checksum, but i think thats unnecessary. if a dump doesnt turn out right and you find it later you can always go back to that disc and dump it again.

for dumping xbox or xbox 360 games if you want iso's, theres ways to do it by using a dummy dual layer dvd and hotswaping before dumping with imgburn. although if the console you already have has homebrew i would check as there might be a way to dump the disc with the system and that would give the best results.

a modded wii can dump gamecube and wii games, so that would be the best bet for that. same with a psp, a modded one can dump the games directly to the memory stick, i picked up a photofast converter, that allows 2 regular sd cards to fit in the psp instead of the memory stick.

i have 2 16gb sd cards giving me 32gb of space on my psp, more then enough for all the games i have, plus emulators. there are people who have used 2 32gb sd cards and even reports of people using 2 64gb cards, so if you wanted every game on your psp you can do so pretty easily.

and yes fusion will play sega cd games, just define the bios in the config.

as far as cartridge based games, it might be better just to download the ones you have, and do that instead of dumping them yourself. they're super small and the hardware needed can be expensive just to get the exact same rom file you can find online.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII

Daxter

Dissidia Final Fantasy

Final Fantasy Tactics (Same as PS1, just graphics are updated theres more cut scenes)

Final Fantasy Type-0

God of War: Chains of Olympus

Gran Turismo

Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep

LittleBigPlanet

Metal Gear Acid 1 & 2

Metal Gear Peace Walker

Monster Hunter Freedom 2 / Unite

Parasite Eve 3rd Birthday

There's some other ones I can't think of right now. The PSP really shined with it's emulation when it has custom firmware installed on it which allowed for 20+ emulators and the ability to play pirated PSP and PSX games.

You need one of these. I had one in my psp before the screen broke. 12 gigs vs what I could get a 4 gig pro duo for, pretty good investment.

PSP 1000's, 2000's, and 3000's all take Memorystick Pro Duo's. Most people use the Photofast Dual MicroSD adapters which look like this.

I'm not sure if there's a limit on the size cards you can use on it, I have 2 32GB micro's in mine (64GB total), but some others in the subreddit have 2 64's (128GB total).

Before I got my PSP Go I had one of those dual Memory Stick Adapters (this one to be specific) it works but getting it in and out of the PSP was a pain, sometimes the memory card wouldn't show up in the PSP and would have to reseat it. When it actually worked it worked pretty good.

Maybe the one I had was a bad physically. Otherwise everything worked.

u/Twofoe · 1 pointr/PSP

The Go requires an M2 memory card, which maxes out at 16gb from what I've read, giving a combined maximum of 32gb. Non-Go PSPs, on the other hand, can use one of these these babies along with a couple of standard micro-SDHC cards, for a combined maximum total of 128gb.

I got a couple of 32gb cards, so now I'm rolling with 64 gigs of space.
