I must say, this turking thing is turning out to be fairly productive. I've managed to make enought to buy a new fountain pen and will soon have enough to get that bottle of Pilot Iroshizuku Kon-Peki Ink that I've been wanting and love. Summoning /u/TheBlotterOfInks24 to share the news!

I have a regular at the coffee shop I work at that's a fountain pen fiend and likes embarrassing the coworker he comes in with by giving a full description of the pen and ink he has that day if there's no one in line behind him. It's usually some TWSBI, don't remember which, but he uses the Iroshizuku Kon-Peki cerulean blue and it's absolutely gorgeous.

I "shamed him" the other day because he brags about his pen then found out how much the Rotring 800 I carry costs, then his embarrassed coworker said he has one too.

I don't know of any starter packs on Amazon, although you can get them from Goulet, so you'd probably have to do it piece by piece. Amazon also doesn't tend to have the best prices on fountian pens and accessories and isn't known for packaging inks super securely, so that's worth considering as well. From Amazon I would recommend a Pilot Metropolitan (too many Safaris on amazon are fake), a bottle of either Pelikan 4001 or Pilot Iroshizuku ink, and a Rhodia pad

Is this a generally well liked ink? I bought a bottle and I seem to like it, wondering what other people think about it before I buy more lol.

Have fun! I'd also recommend getting something fun for your first ink, boring ink makes for boring writing. Something like this is probably the most recommended blue ink that's readily available, and it's like $16 right now.

I had a bottle of Pilot Iroshizuku that I refilled at work regularly.

I just bought a Conklin Herringbone with EF nib, and Pilot Iroshizuku ink. All-time favorite pen now!
