Your best bet is probably to just buy an external drive.

You can get DVD-RW pretty cheap: https://www.amazon.ca/External-Stylish-SDRW-08D2S-U-BLK-AS/dp/B006HUMYCO/

External Blu-ray drives starts around $100: https://www.amazon.ca/Pioneer-Electronics-External-BDR-XD05S-Silver/dp/B00OLZCD5K/

If you already have a blu-ray drive lying around you could save a bit of money by getting a 5.25" enclosure like this but from what I can see there isn't a huge selection and if you don't already have the drive it will be expensive, heavier, and much larger than just buying one of the slim external drives above. The enclosure isn't worth it for DVD even if you have the drive since the external drives are already cheaper than it.

Or an external BluRay drive for that HD goodness: https://smile.amazon.com/Pioneer-Electronics-External-BDR-XD05S-Silver/dp/B00OLZCD5K

A cheaper one: https://smile.amazon.com/Blu-Ray-Player-External-Laptop-Burner/dp/B001TVAU0E
I make no guarantees for the quality of the no-name one there though. It claims to have a Panasonic drive inside... you can be the judge of that. But it's 1/3 the price.

How dare you say "Blue-Ray" in this subreddit?
Heresy!

I have this one, and it works great. You won't be able to play UHD Blu Rays (4k) of course.

I bought this and it works fine.

I've been using this Pioneer drive for almost 2 years. Works well with MakeMKV. I don't believe this model supports UHD disks, I haven't tested.

So there is not a lot of cases that have a Optical drive bay, so it’s better to just buy an external one for around $120, so total is around $2600 AUD

There are portable Blu-Ray players, but they are not cheap.. An example of on is here.
