Yes—they are wonderful! They work much better than the glass bulb waterers, according to Amazon reviews. I haven’t tried both, but I’m quite satisfied with the plant nannies I bought!
I never had a lot of luck with the self watering globes when I balcony gardened. The water would just all come out. What I did have luck with was the terracotta spikes you stick a wine bottle in. The terracotta helped with slow release of water. Edit: also a big mistake balcony gardeners make in areas that get warm is not using big enough pots. Find a pot you think is big then get the next size larger. Once I switched to super big pots (was in Houston) I could be away a day without my plants actively dying.
I also garden, and one of the pesky things for me (especially here in VA) during the summer is keeping up with watering when it's blisteringly hot outside. I've used these, and they're great. :)
These are a little pricey at about $4 each but work well, I use them outdoors where they provide just enough water so plants don't dry up and die when I'm away from home.
