I would suggest having a battery-powered FM radio (and extra batteries if it's battery powered, or get one which charges via USB like the one I linked) to listen to the news and get vital information.
Also (if not too late), order a sawyer mini (best) or lifestraw (not as good). If you don't have access to clean water it can help you stay healthy (beware of chemical contamination which cannot be removed by these).
If you have the money, get a Garmin inReach satellite communicator (requires a (relatively cheap) subscription, down to $15ish a month). You can request SOS (much like 911), and send/receive SMS and e-mails, even without cell coverage. Excellent to keep in touch with relatives and in case of emergency. Can be used year-round when hiking, snow-mobile, skiing, ... Don't tell anyone you have this...
Download the offline map of your area on Google Maps on your phone beforehand. Can be priceless to navigate around and doesn't require internet access. Also get the Maps.Me app and download the map of your area too. Google Maps offline maps will expire and disappear from your phone after 30 days (I believe), Maps.Me maps will not.
If the cell service in your area is out of order, use your phone in airplane mode so that it doesn't continuously and desperately looks for a cell to connect to, which will drain the battery VERY quickly. Also use it on the lowest practical brightness setting to save battery power.
If not too late, get big USB power banks (>=10000mAh such as this one) and fully charge them beforehand. It's good as barter items and it can be nice to recharge your things when you have no access to a generator (on the go, or if you don't want to run the generator to avoid attracting attention). You can also get USB lights (this one for instance) and your powerbank doubles as a flashlight with a very long battery life.
Get a first aid kit, and not just one with bandaids... Get a CAT tourniquet, trauma dressing, Celox (preferred) or QuikClot bandage, triangular bandage, SAM splint, ... and know how to use them. Also get the basic medecines (stomach/diarrhea relief, basic painkillers, anti-allergy, and any prescription medecine if you require any). Remember 911 service may be unavailable for some time and you need to be able to take care of injuries. Tourniquets save lives, everyone should have one readily available.

I am a radio amateur and in these situations I like to have one or two portable radio for two-way communication but I realize it is not for everybody. Still, a pair of FRS/GMRS radio can be helpful. Please note that GMRS requires a (cheap) license in the USA. I would recommend this model which also allows to be used as a scanner and to program the NOAA weather frequencies (do it beforehand) and some local police/EMS/fire frequencies (if allowed in your juridiction).
Please DO NOT use a radio made for amateur radio use, where you can transmit on any frequency, such as the UV-5R; you may interfere with emergency communications, even if you can't hear them, miles away. Please stick to the FRS/GMRS frequencies. The radio above guarantees safe operation and still allows to be used as a scanner.

Take pictures of all your important documents (ID, properties, ...) and store them in a waterproof plastic bag. Try to keep at least your passport and driver license with you during the storm...
If you have a sump pump, try to arrange so that it can be battery powered and/or connected to your generator. If using battery power, get a battery charger and/or a generator connection, if the outage lasts and the battery runs down. Sometimes homes are not affected by the main storm but are flooded due to the lack of power around the storm and are still ruined, and that's totally preventable.
Also, beforehand, depending of the situation you might want to BLOCK your main sewage pipe. This way you might avoid sewage backflow into your home. There are normally valves already installed but in case of serious flooding (high backpressure) they sometimes are not up to the task.

Download a few offline movies on the Netflix app (if you have Netflix). I never lived though a hurricane but I assume after a few days/weeks, you might want some entertainment. You can also download e-books. Bonus if it's survival-related e-books.

This is the portable charger I purchased. It's $50 and it has worked perfectly fine so far but I haven't owned it for very long. It takes a few hours to fully charge the Switch but it can be used while the Switch is on.
I have this Anker Power Core that I absolutely fucking love.
It's kinda hefty, but sleek and worth the extra weight. Takes about 10 hours to charge, but it can charge your phone 5-7 times depending on which one you get, and the charge does NOT deplete if you leave it in your car. I had it in my car all summer and winter in Michigan for 8 months, and when i took it out, still showed 4/4 lights of charge.
I use mine a lot in hotels and stuff where the plug is too far from the bed, and I also use it a lot at work and stuff like that.
I've had it for 3 years now and it hasn't lost any battery power, PLUS it comes with two USB ports so you can charge two different things at once.

I hope you have a data plan. I keep this in my backpack and keep it charged. Takes a few hours to charge but it lasts for I'd say about a week with casual use.
That phone also costs $1000. For $50 I can get a great USB battery and keep mine and someone else's phones charged for that same 6 hours. For the few hundred dollars price difference between that and what I paid for my phone when it was new plus that battery, I'll suffer the inconvenience of having a cable attaching my phone to my pocket.
I do wish I had some sort of nighttime photo mode on my phone, though. The Oneplus community has always been rather upset at the quality of our cameras.
To give you an idea this Anker 20100 is well thought of (TheWirecutter likes it and it has great reviews). I picked it up on Prime Day for $30 and thought that was a great deal.
So basically anything around $30 for a decent charger of this size is a pretty solid deal.
A lot depends on the style you're looking for. I'll also say that security in a bag is a myth. There are things to discourage certain behavior, but ultimately a bag should never be seen as a secure container. (after all it can always be cut)
What I chose.
I traveled for about a month in Europe staying in hostels. Even though it was only a month I could have traveled for about a year (adding only a tablet) with the bag/things I brought.

I love this bag but it might not be the single best option for you. It's low profile, turns into a duffle bag (more about that later) and although it doesn't look like a school backpack, it doesn't standout like this either.
The reason I love that it turns into a duffle bag is because theres a semi hidden velcro pocket in the bottom where the cover rolls into. This is a great place to sew or velcro a small zippered wallet or bag to store extra money or valuables. It's not secure as much as its hidden. This won't help you if they steal the whole bag, but it will help you if they just ransack the place and steal from the open compartments.

The F Stop bags look great, but are pretty pricy. Depending on what lenses you're bringing (18-55mm kit lens VS 70-200mm VR f2.8) it may or may not be worth it for size and configurability. I personally bought a Sony a6000 and left my big DSLR at home. That was actually a really good choice for the type of trip I did, but if I was going for a year (like you are) I understand needing the big camera. You might want to get camera/lens inserts like this (but not necessarily that one, I just clicked on the first one I saw on amazon) to store and protect those other lenses.

Security:
Since I was traveling alone, and in hostels, security was a slightly bigger deal for me. I carried my passport on my person or locked in my hostel (many had lockers or metal lock boxes).
At all times I had a photo copy of my passport and everything in my wallet, some local currency, and a print out of all the embassies in the area. (Attached to this email.) I printed this double sided and had multiple copies with me.
I told my mom, "At any time I want to be able to have everything stolen, but still have a way back home.” My credit card will do cash transfers internationally and also includes a continuous travel insurance package.
I would highly suggest making three copies of your passport and all credit cards and other ID you are taking. One lives on your person when your passport is stored elsewhere (hotel, for example), one lives in your luggage (preferably hidden/tucked away), and one stays with a trusted friend or family member that will be in the States for the duration of your trip. If anything happens they will be able to assist with proving your identity to the State Department, thus speeding the process along. I suggest keeping some cash tucked in your passport (along with that embassy list), your copy of the passport in the luggage, and then the copy of the passport and embassy list in your wallet. At this point you have three possibilities of things to grab to prove your identity/pay for a cab/tell you where to go.
While this may seem a little overboard, I find it doesn't take that long to set up and helps greatly should anything bad happen. Also consider registering with the State Department. This helps them track Americans abroad should anything happen, and also gives you alerts, should anything happen. https://step.state.gov/step/

Tech Tips
I also used a service called Line2 to give me a US phone number to call from and receive calls to while I was away. I have T-Mobile that gives me included unlimited international data. As long as I had a 4g signal, I also had a phone I could make and receive calls on. Google Voice and Skype would also do this. Do be aware of how much international data costs. Wifi is easy to find, but I suggest using a VPN on your phone or laptop for any web surfing. And even with the VPN I would not suggest logging into any financial (bank, etc) while abroad unless you are on a trusted wifi network (aka, friends).
For maps you can download parts of Google Maps by searching the city and clicking “Download." This should work on Android and iOS versions of Google Maps.

Here's the thing. Even with the expansion module this "keyfob" has all of 2,150mAh for $78. A single-18650-based power bank by a reputable vendor costs just $13. Oh you want more? $78 almost buys you TWO of this.

Capsule wardrobe. I suggest choosing an accessory color, black / brown / color then making sure your clothes go with those. Enough clothes for ideally 2 weeks, underwear the same. I'd go with 4 bras you're suppose to let your bras rest between wears and wash them, but most of us don't wash our bras with each wear. Every item should be able to be worn with all the other items. 1 nice outfit, dress or something like it. Raincoat or umbrella, hat, scarf, glove set in a color that matches your wardrobe. A pashmina scarf is good because it can double as a blanket or shawl. I use to travel for work 30-90 days. My capsule wardrobe consisted of; 2 black pants, 1 gray or kakhi, 2 jeans, 1 lounge pant, 4 button ups, 2 blouses, 2 sweaters, 2 cardigan, 3 t shirts, 1 hoodie type, 2 sets work out clothes, 2 sets PJs, shorts, bathing suit, 1 casual dress (sometimes), 1 nice dress, 1 belt, ankle boots, flats, converse, running shoes, sandals. Each sweater or cardigan could be worn with the t shirts, button ups for blouse. The button ups could be worn with the slacks or jeans.
Always have a reusable shopping bag / tote. It can be use for shopping, luggage overflow, beach trips, picnics, stuff it and it's a pillow. Pack able clothes line you'll be doing laundry. Having a place to hang stuff helps.
E-readers are amazing.
I pack a pairing knife. It really comes in handy around meal times. You can buy cheese, cured meats, fruit and veg and cut it all your self. This one comes in a ton of colors, has a guard so it's easy to pack, just don't try to carry it on a plane! I also carry a small swiss army knife. The scissors, tweezers and tooth pick are much more useful than I would have thought. If you are going to be staying in apartments or houses, packing spices will save you a lot of money.
Toiletries; don't bother, you can buy them as you run out. All you REALLY need is soap, sunscreen and I go for lotion (or oil). I like argon oil because I can use it on my face, scaly needs and hair.
Electronics; external hard drive / cloud and external battery. Keep the hard drive away from your laptop / phone, back up regularly. External batteries are super useful, maps will drain your phone battery these things are great. This is a good one, there are cheaper ones if you prefer.
Online banking, pill bay, insurance, everything. For this I use LastPass. It is a password service. It will generate and store usernames and passwords for any website. I pay $24 a year. I remember one password and it works on my computer and smart phone (app to install on both).
If you are going international I would suggest a VPN (virtual private network). That way you can get sign in and get to all your accounts, websites and not have to deal with if its available in whatever country. To that end, Netflix, Hulu, HBOGo accounts are good sometimes too. I never had all 3, but sometimes you want to rest.
Edit; Shoe bags! they keep your dirty shoes off your other stuff. Keep gallon ziploc bags, good for stinky or wet clothes to be stored until they are clean and dry.

Not Camino specific - but solar chargers are generally advised against for backpackers.
They are too heavy / bulky for the low power they provide. They are really optimized for 'base camp' type scenarios, not on-the-go activity.
You would be better off with a USB battery pack. They come in a wide variety of capacities. One that's relatively small/light/cheap can charge your phone 5+ times. You just need to refill it at the albergue's when it's convenient. Like this:

Yeah WTF is with the 5000 mah battery? That won't hold much of a charge. It might charge a cell phone once or twice. The 20,000 mah battery from Anker is selling at $41.00 for the black one right now, yet it has dropped as low as $28 in November of last year.
I don't see the difference between this handbag and a bag with a small pocket for a power bank that I can just shove inside and then manually hook up to my phone/laptop, which is what I assume I would have to do anything, sicne the bag doesn't have wireless charging.

No Power
If you're woefully unprepared or all of your power is completely gone, you still have a few options:
I now have a good 30 board games, and am always looking for more. A typical board game can last for over an hour including setup, so they're a great way to kill time and have fun if there's nothing else to do.

Access to SOME Power
If you're like me, you have a solar charger for electronics) coupled with a battery pack. With that, you should be able to stay at least sort of powered indefinitely. This setup increases your entertainment tremendously.
I prefer the original Kindle or the Paperwhite, since I want it solely for books.
Full Power
There are only a few situations I can envision where you have access to uninterrupted power, but can't leave your house. If you have a generator, of course, or if you're in some type of Contagion situation. If that's the case...you really don't have an entertainment problem.

Ingress folks all bought stock in Anker a while back, or should have. ;-)
However the one you pointed out is a bit old and I'd recommend this one if you'll only need one port or this one if you think you'd need more. If you're going to play a lot, 20k is not a bad idea either, and is standard for most serious ingress players. I prefer having a few 10k and just grabbing as many as I think I'd need.
Turn off Bluetooth and wifi, also reduce your screen brightness.

I was told good things about it and after having it one day I like it.
I used a solare panel to attempt to keep things charged at my last forest. There simply wasn't enough sun/ amperage making it any devices to charge them.

Same. I also have this guy that is the best investment I've ever made. Recharge a phone like 15 times with it before it runs out, and recharges quick. Anker has a life long customer as long as they don't start cheaping out.
I would highly recommend Anker battery packs. You could get a 10,000 mAh battery pack fairly cheaply and that should give your 3DS a few or more full charges, you could even double the capacity and go with a 20,000 mAh one and it wouldn't cost much more.

The iPhone 8 has an 1821 mAh battery. So that 20,000 mAh power bank is going to give you probably 8 or 9 realistic charges. (There is always some loss when moving power around)
Let's call it 8 Charges. If you are using some data to Google some stuff and using your flashlight to read with, you're probably looking at 2 days and change before you need to go and find some power.
You can charge your tablet from the power bank too, and might even be able to charge a laptop if it uses USB-C for input power.
But those things will drain the bank pretty rapidly.

Considering everything else they carry, I think an extra 12 ounce battery the size of a phone - and with a 20,000 mAh capacity - will be more than enough.
I've gone down 40% in about 2 hours, and I've got my external battery on me so I can probably last around 5 hours * 8 charges, 40 hours, pretty good. (and that's with me leaving the application open listening to music on my phone at work) Samsung Galaxy Note 5.

Study the shit out of Google Maps and star everything that you think you'll want to see. That way, you'll have some kind of idea about what you can cover in a day, distance-wise. Read up on the areas, use Street View and get a feel for any places where you might be walking – every city has places you don't want to stray into by accident.
Sign up on Couchsurfing and get familiar with it. You're more likely to get accepted with zero references in Europe than you are in the US, but having some references is always a good thing – I've been a host in the past, but it's never stopped me accepting guests, whereas I didn't get accepted once in the US (and was told why, several times). Get yourself an Airbnb account as well, just in case.
Get a decent backpack and come to terms with wearing the same things for a couple of days in a row – I can it Festival Mode. Get yourself a portable power source for any devices you might need to charge (e.g. Anker 20000mAh Portable Charger), and pack a reliable socket adapter for when you need to plug things into the mains.
Aim for summer in Europe, for obvious bonus reasons, but also for the benefit of not having to carry around a huge winter jacket. Be prepared to buy something warm instead, which you can then easily jettison if need be; anything to keep the load lighter. On that note, though, investigate lockers at major rail stations in the areas you're considering. It's always good to dump your stuff and walk around without it for a while.
Learn the basics in the languages of the countries you plan to visit: please, thank you, food, beer, toilet, etc. I'm pretty sure there are books that cover such phrases in a bunch of European languages. Scandinavians are better at English than most native English-speakers, and they're only too happy to speak English, whereas France, Germany, Italy… not so keen.

I love using an external battery pack with a USB to 9v/12v converter! I can use it to power volcas, or my circuit and a boutique, or any combo of things. You'll definitely have to crunch the numbers but I have great luck with it as a campfire rig.

So you'll still want to double check your batteries, but these were the ones that were drop in replacements for the tpcast one. They specifically don't support QC and I have 4 of them I think, so that's a bummer.

Other than that I haven't noticed anything worth mentioning. The kit for my Pro won't be here until tomorrow, so I just swapped out the tpcast for this one to test it. The biggest downside is the first thing I listed as a positive. The PCI-E card is a huge bummer because I normally use my laptop or tiny mITX build to run demos. Next up on my test list putting the whole thing into my thunderbolt enclosure to make it mobile again.
If you've already got original vives running with the TPCast I just wouldn't recommend changing. There's just no benefit to it. If however you have Pros then you don't have a choice with the TPCast not working on it. Visual quality is the same to me, I never noticed any green bars on my TPCast and OpenTPCast fixed the mic and camera.

If I'm on the road or I'm expecting multiple charges for phones, I carry the behemoth that has 20100mAh.
As the site says, the everyday one is as big as a lipstick tube. The monster is still very small; however, i was surprised at how relatively heavy it is (it really isn't).
Anker's build quality is top notch. Battery banks come with a mesh carrying case. Their customer service is A+, as I've had a battery refuse to charge under warranty that was replaced by next day air.
If I was to fly in and looking to camp, I think I'd either look into those Jucy vans, or rent a car and pick up supplies at walmart before driving in. Most the small stuff you could already bring with you or take back home and I guarantee there are plenty of folk who will gladly take a barely used canopy/cooler/tent/whatever off your hands at the end of the weekend. Just search "car camping" on this sub as well and you'll find a ton of helpful info

I bought the Anker PowerCore 20100. My phone was the only "camera" I took on the Inca Trail and not only did it keep my phone completely charged, I was able to help my tent-mate charge her phone on the 3rd night. She had brought a charger but it couldn't keep up.
Since then, I've taken in on any trip. I don't have to worry about finding a plug in airports, having a full charge on train adventures. It's brilliant and would highly suggest.

get a battery bank for your phone. it's cheaper and and easier to use than any dedicated gps unit. put orux or locus maps on it for cyclocomputer stats and offline maps.

Yes you can, regular USB packs with a USB-C cable is a cheaper alternative.
The recommended USB-C packs would be this one from RAVpower or this one from Anker.
26800 mAh is about the limit you can take on a plane per TSA guidelines without a lithium transit permit. PD is Power Delivery and is the safest means of delivering the most power to your switch without entering dangerous territory. Both go on sale pretty frequently, so despite the high prices you can snag them for 50 to 70 dollars every other week or so.

The 25W solar panel weighs about 5 lb, which is about six times as much as a TPCast battery. And it's dimensions are about one foot by two feet, which is a bit big to mount on the HMD.

And for the solar panel to deliver its rated power, it has to be getting direct sunlight. So, your VR room would have to have the equivalent of direct sunlight coming from (at least) the four corners of the room. And sunlight is a lot* brighter than typical lights. You'd need the sort of lights that aren't safe to look directly at (just like the sun). And of course, if you tried to use lasers intead, they'd be even less eye-safe.
Generally, a power bank is just a block roughly the size of a wallet. On the bank are USB ports, like the ones you'd find on a computer.
Pretty much anything will plug into those, so all you would need is a cable that goes from the bank to the switch. Your current iPhone charger should plug into the same block.
When the other commenter says 'give enough juice', he means if the power bank holds enough charge to charge the switch fully, since it has a pretty big battery. You don't need to worry about voltage or anything like that.

I have an anker (I think it's the 20100mah one?). I use it frequently when traveling and it's more than fine. Doesn't charge super fast but definitely can charge the switch once or twice fully.

Never tried before but I would hold the GoPro in your hand as you walk in, basically have it in plain sight so you aren't doing anything wrong. If you are that worried/serious maybe hide it under your phone (hide it in plain sight) I would have multiple SD cards and a battery pack if possible. I have a standard GoPro from a couple years ago and it lasts a good amount of time but the newer ones may die quicker if you have them at 1080p (not sure on that) I honestly have no idea about battery life on the session so I would get a power bank, I have this one and I love it
As for mount chest or hat mount is probably your best bet, maybe the head mount but that may bother the people behind you

What is it that you need to power with that? I just carry one of the smaller power packs in my work bag which can keep my phone charged for at least a week. I also have a headlamp that can be recharged via USB. Other than those two things I don't have any need for portable energy although I could technically power my laptop off of the power pack also. But in the event of an emergency where I can't drive home, I will be walking, and I won't need to power on my laptop.
Once I am home, I have a large 12 volt deep cycle battery that is constantly connected to a smart charger. In the event the power goes out I can connect my 2000 watt inverter that will run a few lights and my chest freezer as well as charge all my portable USBN powered devices. If I need to re-charge that battery while the power is still out, I can hook it up to one of my vehicles (there is always at least one car at home).
This is the one I have and highly recommend it. It goes on sale pretty often for $40. I have charged my phone and a friends off of it from 5% up to 100% and still had plenty of battery left over. I keep it in my backpack everyday for a quick charge.

I have this one and it's pretty good. Sturdy, easy to carry around both in your hands or a backpack without fearing it might be damaged. My only complaint is that removing the Switch from the case is kind of hard, but that is because it fits way too well, especially with the space for the shoulder buttons.
The top half is pretty big too and it can fit a USB-c cable, the joycon straps, a 8bitdo controller easily and a fabric for cleaning the screen, for example. You won't fit a grip, dock or charger, but those don't necessarily need to be that portable. You can fit a Power Bank though, such as this one.

Yea the Kindle has a rather tough screen and with tons of capacity. Coupled with the insane battery life and ease of charging it's really a no brainer. Just pick up a battery bank from Amazon for like $45. The white one's like $50 and it more so matches the Go than the black one obviously. They have a smaller more compact battery as well as a larger battery too but it's substantially larger than this.
My anker power brick is charged with a micro USB port, so it doesn’t really matter which charger you use. The wall charger I have is this one.

You don't even need the alternate battery, actually. A rechargeable fan or two and a power bank and a usb port in your car. This does require the vehicle to be running/driving to charge the powerbank, but if you're already driving everyday, shouldn't be a problem.

Try to make a schedule but don't pack it too tight, prioritize what you want to do/see the most and make sure to get their early (lots of waiting in lines), don't be afraid to talk to strangers in line (I lost track of how many impromptu games started with random people in line!), if you're bringing your 3DS/Vita make sure you have a reliable battery pack (my Anker one served me well ), bring water/snacks with you and if you do go to a restaurant try to go at non meal times like 3pm, 9pm etc. I really liked the sushi place connected to my hotel (blue c sushi), if you're up for a little walk Kizuki has amazing ramen (320 E pine st)... go to some panels, or autograph signing if that interests you, if you're into pin trading that's a whole thing on its own, same goes for cosplaying. A lot of booths give away freebies so be on the lookout for that - same goes for contests and scavenger hunts. If you play one of the indie games the developers are usually close by and you can give them valuable input or just tell them what you thought of their game. There really is so much in such a short time window so if you get pooped out make sure to take a break and #1 most important rule, have fun!! :)

With Quick Charge comes a price tag, but there are plenty of others that can deliver high amperage. Power conversion ratios are a real thing, and reputable power banks should get 75% or more in real-world usage. Shitty cells can lose half their capacity to conversion, which is how you get 3000mAh cells dying after charging an iPhone once.

You said in a comment that you just want to keep a cell phone charged for a week, and instead ended up dreaming about what you could run off of a generator and got off track. If that's the case, for just a cell phone:
A big cell phone battery is ~3500 mAh.
This bad boy is about 20,000 mAh. That's about five and a half full charges. Buy two, total cost so far is $100 CAD. This gets you 11 full phone charges, which should be plenty for a full week of moderate use.
If you want more, keep one of those packs attached to this guy during any sunny time, and you should be able to keep both of them topped up indefinitely. (Or if your phone happens to need to charge while it's sunny, attach the phone to it directly and don't use power from a battery bank in the first place.) total cost is now $180 CAD for effectively infinite power at the cell-phone-charging scale. Heck with the solar panel you could most likely get away with just one of the above power banks.
The Wirecutter has reviews of battery packs and solar chargers. While Anker isn't always the top notch option, they're reliable and I've never had an issue with any of their products (to date, six battery banks, two plug-in chargers, and probably 20 USB cables).

If you want to scale up a little bit more, I have experience making really big USB chargers and also solar power packs and could elaborate on that if you'd like.
It'll be hard to run a fridge without house-scale solar or running a generator, but I could probably size a system for hanging solar panels out the window and keeping a couple of LED lights going and your phone charged. Biolite (that company known mostly for the weird-but-awesome USB charging wood burning stoves) has a solution for this as well. That's $150 US.

Both the wife and I have purchased Anker power banks (hers is 12kmah, mine is 20k. They're substantially heavier than the fuel rods or the other brands of chargers that are essentially enough to recharge your phone once or twice.
But they really pack a punch, and can definitely be worth bringing to the park - especially if you're playing pokemon go, or reading a kindle in lines, or looking to recharge camera batteries, etc.
It might be worth having one power bank that can get you and your family through a day at the park, especially if you plan on using it at other amusement parks, days at the mall, or for more versatile use outside of a Disney Resort.

So the device you linked vs harbor freight.. First off, harbor freight stuff is designed and manufactured with price in mind, not longevity. So, right off the bat, assume it has a shorter life, it might not, lots of people have been pleasantly surprised by harbor freight stuff, but I wouldn't assume quality from them. Second, I would always look at their claims with a skeptical eye, 17Ah, might really be 15Ah. Third, safety. Harbor freight might use less quality connectors, smaller gauge and lower quality wire etc, most stuff fails cold but this has a lot of energy stored in it and if it fails hot, well, you might burn your van down. Probably an edge case but IMHO, less likely with a device made from somebody like goal zero than something made by harbor freight. Last and least significant are some features, the nicer device you linked has an inverter built in, a nicer power meter and several ways to charge it. The harbor freight one probably only charges from a 120v - 12v transformer, so to recharge this device you'll have to run your inverter.
Will it work? Probably. You could probably save the money and be just fine for a long time to come in my opinion.
Are you just looking for rechargeable usb power? If so, I would suggest something like these, I have two in my van, they charge from the cigarette lighter or 12v from my solar and last a long time. I have one for a little security camera I have and it lasts 2.5 days!

I personally have this Anker Battery. It can charge a phone from dead to full about 6 times.
Since I share it with my girlfriend we usually go through it + have other people camped with us so we received an Anker Solar Charger for Christmas. It works slowly but gets the job done.
There are also locker rentals available inside the forest. In addition to a place to store things in the festival grounds (Things can be left overnight) They give you a little battery and a charger dongle. When it is dead you bring it back and they give you a new one all weekend. Locker rentals are $50.

There's a USB-C port on the bottom, you can charge it without the dock quite easily. This means that if you want to play the Switch while powering it with a cigarette lighter socket USB charger in the car, you can. And if you're on a plane with a regular power outlet or USB port, you can. And if you pick up a battery bank with USB charging (like this one) you can charge it with that on the go (which would give you about 4 to 5 charges with the Switch's ~4300mAh battery, giving you a minimum battery life while playing of about 10 hours, and a maximum of about 24).
I have a 20,000 mAh battery like this for traveling, and as a side benefit if you keep it charged you can still charge your phone if the power goes out. To give you an idea it can keep my phone going on a redeye to New York, and then still last me an additional day or so before I recharge it if I run it down to empty by solely charging off of it instead of digging out my wall charger.

Great info so far. Start paring down stuff now so you're more mobile, I linked the power bank that worked best for me. A small rice cooker is a great way to cook (nearly every park has a plug). You can cook rice, noodles, eggs, etc. If you really embrace this it doesn't have to be horrible. Thanks for the link! That's kind of what I was imagining, but more along the lines of having a power bank kind of like this and connecting to terminals in something like this . My idea was to be able to put a rechargeable power bank inside the battery area to keep the portability.

It'll last me 4+ charges of my phone, and realistically with my brightness high I can get 5-6 hrs of gaming on a battery. So I'd say at the minimum 20 hrs of screen time. I'm not sure something like this exists. Generally dash cams focus on recording the events of driving accidents with parking modes being an extra perk. Without knowing your budget it is difficult to recommend any cams with good parking modes.
For the battery, dash cams usually have small batteries or capacitors because it is not a good idea to have large batteries from a reliability standpoint. When the camera is constantly running and sitting in extreme temperatures all day, then a large battery is not going to last very long and can potentially be a hazard.
There are a couple options for parked recording though, the most common being hard wiring. You can buy hard wiring kits like the Vicocation power plus and control the voltage cutoff of your battery to make sure you never fully drain it and leave it with enough power to start the engine.
Another option is using something like a cellink b which will charge as you drive the car. It takes ~1 hour 20 min to fully charge so if you do not drive the car often it is probably not the best option.
The last option I can think of is using power banks. Something like this will let you run the cameras for ~ 2 days. You will have to swap it out with another bank to recharge and it can be tedious, but it might be the best option if you are against hard wiring.
As for the wires/installation there are plenty of good videos that show how to run the wires and make them neat and invisible.

I wish I could find information on power draw of 1 or 2 phantom powered microphones on the GH5, and for the XLR1 adapter itself. No clue. 10 more days until my XLR1 adapter arrives, though I'm probably not going to fret testing this stuff as I think I'll be ok.
I went for the mentioned Rode NTG4+ shotgun mic with the built in USB chargeable battery (150 hours) that can also be switched to phantom power. This way I have some flexibility if I somehow deplete the microphone battery. It weighs a little more and is slightly longer than the NTG4 but I'd rather deal with those flaws than even be concerned with trying to find out the phantom power draw and having additional battery drain concerns.
Another thought, is I wonder how well attaching a power bank to the panasonic battery charger? I'm not sure if you can charge an active battery over USB-C, but I assume you can charge your offline battery which you can charge in a power bank inside your bags.
I don't have the battery grip but think that if I carry 2-3 charged batteries I should be reasonably covered for what I do. I can always get the grip if it turns into a problem. Sorry if its not terribly helpful that I have rationalized my way around the core questions you are seeking answers to. :)

I can recommend this solar panel and power bank. I have them and they work fairly well for a decent price. It should work fine to charge a kindle, or phone, or other USB powered electronics. The only real potential drawback is the amount of time it takes to charge the power bank from the sun, which means in some cases you have to leave it somewhere visible where it might get stolen.
I broke my kindle, and these days I mostly just use the Kindle app on my phone, but it's a pretty impressive device. You can easily fit hundreds of books into a large pocket and the battery lasts for days at a time.

Anker battery with twice the charge power and power IQ which will match the optimum charging voltage for your phone. The Memex one will charge your phone but at a snail's pace. It probably won't keep up with PoGo's power drain.

As a veteran Ingress player, I can say that multiple battery banks are the best way to keep your battery up if you're going to be playing seriously. They are so cheap. I would recommend something like this to carry in your pocket to keep your phone charged. It adds about 6.6 Galaxy s7 batteries worth of power or about 11.7 iPhone 6s batteries worth of power. You can play for a lot longer that way.
I would go for the first one for convenience purposes. The S7 only supports QC 2.0 anyways. Are they both about the same size & weight?

It's hard to gauge how many charges you'd get from any power bank because your phone draws power while it charges. It's easy to look up your phone model and see the battery's capacity in mAh. You can get an estimate by dividing the bank's capacity by your phone's capacity.
If price and size aren't too big a concern, Anker has another power bank with more than double that capacity for just double the money here. That's the one I have my eye on for my Droid Turbo.

There is virtually no reason to run things at full current, they're blindingly bright in most cases. I wrote my code so it was easy to tune the final brightness from a potentiometer.
You really only need to worry about separate power tie-ins every couple meters of pixels. If you had one string going 4 meters long, then tie the +5VDC and GND in at the middle and both ends.

Yep, this is the battery pack I have. The battery is easy to hang if you are inside your tent. Especially if it's a smaller battery. Their straps are actually pretty nice. I also do have their 10ft white Luminoodle but it's not dimmable but works well for larger areas

Hey there! Personally, I use this Anker PowerCore 20100mAh power bank, and it definitely gets the job done. I personally use an S9+, and while I usually do IRL streams for 2-4 hours I don't run into power problems. The charge on the bank could easily charge my phone completely 3-4 times over. As for the mic, I can't help you there as I don't use one, but I'm very curious to see what kind of recommendations you get for that so I'll stay tuned. Good luck!

Assuming you're in the US, you paid a $20 markup. Generally, branded products like these are just the regular product but with the desired logos and such slapped onto it, though Anker does seem to have optimized this model in some way.
You should look up which of your devices supports USB-PD and plug those into the USB-C port if possible. For example, the iPhone 8 and later supports it over a USB-C to Lightning cable.

Previous one was a Astro E3, nearly bulletproof. My current one (a 20Ah Powercore is a bit less comfortable in the pocket, but can easily charge my 12" tablet and have plenty left for my phone. I can see why they switched to cylinder cells, though I still think a broader, thinner pouch-cell-based product would be better at this capacity.
FWIW, these are best paired with a short charging-only cable like these, so you can get through the charge quickly and put the battery back in your pocket, and look a little less nerdy in the meantime.

This is probably your best bet, but it'll only charge your phone 4~ times or so; you'll have to check the capacity of your phone battery to be sure as larger screens/more powerful phones will naturally get less full charges. I use a 20000 mAh external battery which gives me roughly 8 charges. You can find 20k batteries from Anker for $40.
They're the lightest, best quality external batteries you'll find imho.

But these are literally just two of them. There are ALOT of them. I would recommend Anker but just get on amazon and search for "Anker Portable Charger" and find one that has the power capacity you want, the physical size you want and in your price range. Any Anker will be fine just make sure to say above 10,000mAh or so as we talked about.

Edit: Also the 20,000mAh one I linked has two usb ports. That is a MUST for me to have 2-3 ports on it so I can power my Stratux and iPad. Just something to keep in mind to look out for when looking at them.
I just wanted to add that I got the Nintendo Joy-Con Charging Grip and that comes with a USB C to USB A cable that actually charges pretty rapidly - enough that I can play and still have the battery increase. I would say roughly 3 or 4 hours to full charge if asleep, but I have never actually timed it.

This past weekend I was in LA with my family and it fully charged our phones (all iPhone 8’s) 5 times and partially charged my sister’s switch before I took it to fully charge my own. After all of that the power bank is still at 50% power.
I fully recommend the official Nintendo USB C to USB A cord (although I am not sure if it is available to purchase independent of the Joy-Con Charging Grip) and the Anker Power Bank (I know they make larger ones with even more charge but the one I linked is honestly more than enough and is the perfect size).
Just my two cents since I was really surprised to read that the OP said it takes 1 hr to charge 10% with USB (and asleep at that) when my switch fully charged in the length of a football game.

The items you linked are cheap, but won't really work for you, they could, but you will have to tinker and take a chance with those Items. The power bank you linked does not have enough amps output to run the Rasperry Pi correctly and the LCD might not work for the Retropie OS. I would go with something that can output enough amps for the Raspberry Pi to run without any issues, it needs 2.5Amps. If not, the Pi will be complaining about power or being throttled because it does not have enough power to run the Raspberry Pi without any issues, specially if you are running Retropie and doing emulation:

As for the screen, I would go with something more compatible. The screen you linked only works a a custom built Raspian OS. Not sure it would work on the Retropie OS/img. It does come with drivers which you might need to compile within your Retropie OS to get the screen to work. I would go with a screen that can run off of the display port or HDMI port of the Raspberry Pi natively. Check out the specs and the compatability of the screen to the OS you will be using it for. One good example of a really compatible A LCD is the official 7" LCD/touchscreen that plugs into the display port and works with most all OS' on the Pi. You only need to change one small setting in the boot/config file for it to boot with the LCD screen attached. I think there is an official 5" LCD available, but I could be wrong. Looks like you want to use a smaller screen, check the Retropie forums or check instructables.com to see what other people have used.

You can use a battery pack and ethernet. With Cat6 cable you can do a 100 meter run. This battery should get you about 40 hours of run time. Still way more expensive than the pi itself, but should work.

I've never run into any situation where I had to drain my phone to 0%, but then instantly needed it back to 100% but I couldn't stand it plugged in for even a few minutes.
If I'm on the go and my phone gets low I just plug it into my brick in my backpack. And unlike your one replacement battery, I could charge a ton of things with my brick it's not just extra juice for one phone. My friends phones, a Bluetooth speaker, anything.
I kept my old Samsung forever because I liked swapping batteries too but bricks and fast charge mooted that use case for me.

I used the same drivers as the Rift CV1 which sound fantastic compared to the headstrap speakers. I tore up an old earbud cable and soldered the wires to replacement drivers. I discovered that headphone wires are coated in acrylic and wrapped around a nylon cord (for tensile strength, I'd assume). Cut the cord and soak the exposed wires in acetone to prep them for soldering.

Anker's Powercore 20100 is pretty great. I use it all the time and always comes in handy.
Honestly, In my experience going for cheap power banks are not a good idea. If I where you I would invest into something like this it will only cost you 50$ and last you a life time, Alternitivly you get get something less exspenive however it won't be as good... if you choose that route I would suggest this anything less wouldn't really be investing into for long term use.

I have successfully kept my S5 Active alive for a whole week with it on a cross country trip. The Anker was fully charged before I left and never recharged during the trip.

It doesn’t have USB-c and things I’ve read said it shouldn’t raise the battery level will plugged in and playing Zelda. But, in my experience it does. It raises it by about 1% every 15-20 minutes while playing Zelda. Much faster with the console asleep. Glad I didn’t drop twice as much on the other one people recommended.

It appears the trade off is that my device has two USB ports so it can power or charge two things at once.
The cheaper one can be found on amazon without their branding and without native usb support. I use use the cord that came with the pro controller for mine for the Switch. Mine comes with two regular USB ports and one micro. The fancy one has one USB port and one USB-C port. I imagine it charges itself slightly faster. It might even charge other appliances faster with the C to C port situation. I’m sure it does, really.
I still love mine though. It’s totally worth it if you don’t want to drop $150ish. Mines like $40 these days.

Thanks to having a removable battery, I have a great set up. I have a second battery, a battery cradle, and a power bank.
When my phone's battery runs out, I swap out for the second one, putting me back at 100%. Then, I put the empty battery in the cradle, connect the cradle to the power bank, and I have 100% on my phone while the empty battery is charging in my backpack.

Hmm, well a portable charger like this one (I just picked the first one I saw, though I've worked with Anker before for giveaways on my YouTube channel and they make good products) is a must have. If I find one of these companies that I can buy stock in I will cause the must be selling like crazy about now. As far as network and gps , I don't have much advice as it's device specific. I can say if you're in an area with wifi networks around that your phone will try to ping to, just turn wifi off cause that's a sure fire way to make the game lag/crash.

May or may not be useful to you, Harbor freight has these fold-able solar panels that charge via usb @ 5V. I have one of these and they work pretty well. I wouldn't use it to directly charge my phone though unless it was an emergency. Rather I use it to charge battery banks. Mostly due to paranoia and the desire to protect my phone from fluctuating voltage. I'd prefer to kill that cheap battery bank if there's an issue.

The Zenfone 3 Max would be worth considering as well - here is a comparison of the two. Smaller, lower-res screen should save some power, but it is LCD instead of AMOLED on the Blu, so it might be a wash. Smaller battery on the Zenfone too...
Would you consider buying an external battery pack for the phone? Then you can get whatever phone you want without the hard battery restriction, then add a 20,000mAh external battery for $40 or less.
power banks are nice and anker makes great ones. It depends on the size capcity you want. We don't know what sized battery is in the switch yet so tis hard to know how much tehse can charge.

They have them in all sizes and shapes . I wouldn't go to high in costs. $20-$40 is what I would spend. Also you may want to look into 2 smaller batteries instead of one larger one . The one I linked you too will take 10 hours to charge. So it may be a good idea to have 2 and alternate the stress on them and allow for slower charging. Heck you may want to get a 20,000 mah battery pack like I listed and something like a 10,000mah or 8,000 mah . They would be smaller and easier to carry. They wouldn't charge the switch as much but for shorter trips it could be better. Then on really long trips you can take both

At worst it's about 1 hour shorter than the 3DS battery life, and that's if you're talking 3DS XL. It's about 1 hour longer than regular 3DS.

Unfortunately only thing you can do to prevent the latter is to not take both (or any), but you can mitigate it by not advertising what you have. I use a messenger bag style case that's non-descript (no Nintendo or Switch logos on it, just gray/black with a zipper flap), and it's large enough to hold my Switch, 3DS XL, all my game carts for both, chargers for both, an Anker battery pack, the Switch's dock, and a Switch Pro controller. It's not a huge, bulky bag either, just carry it with the strap going across your chest instead of over the same shoulder you're carrying it under. If someone is really determined to steal it they can probably break the clips with enough force and struggle, but it's not going to be an easy snatch 'n grab. That's usually enough deterrent to prevent the attempt in the first place.
It's also small enough to fit into my 17" laptop backpack or my carry-on suitcase with plenty of room to spare for several changes of clothes (or a couple of changes of clothes if I'm also bringing along my DSLR). If I'm going somewhere for longer than a week, I'm planning on washing clothes while I'm gone, I never pack more than a week of clothes, less if I'm staying in one place the whole time. I can either carry it in the backpack/suitcase, or if I'm staying at a hotel and don't want to tote the backpack/suitcase around all the time while I'm out, I can just carry the messenger bag case. That mitigates the former issue.

Yeah, the first batteries that come up on a Google search for "M18" are 1.5 and 3 AH. Pretty pathetic. For charging an arm you'd do better with something like this, which is 20 AH and cheaper than M18 batteries. Those M18s are designed for high current draw, which isn't needed in a recharging scenario.
I suspect the robotic arm is more of a nice-to-have for her than an absolute necessity. So in the event of a prolonged blackout, she's one-armed.
For your phone? Me and some others I know have this one. I bring it on 3-4 day camping trips.
