You should look into the dune racer ones, on amazon. Got one for my son (2 & 1/2) and he loves it. It can go up and down hills with ease. Also two settings for it (slow, fast) which would allow him to grow into the faster setting. It was surprisingly one of the cheaper of the powerwheels. The ones mimicked after real cars seem to be over priced and under quality though.

We bought this car for my daughter for her 3rd birthday. She'll be 5 in May and our son will be 2 in March. They both fit nicely, and because there's no real "dash" she'll be able to drive it for awhile. Additionally there's a restrictor screw that slows it down. Take it out though, and it goes a decent speed.
