Just think of wfpb as a change to a different lifestyle, rather than a diet. That means changing habits, and not necessarily being absolute about it. 30 days is a very short time to change one's habits.
A lot of people here, including me, aren't completely strict about eating wfpb. It's just what most accurately describes how I eat.
Penn Jillette wrote a book about losing 100 pounds and keeping it off, on a basically wfpb diet. As an entertainer, he's exposed to a lot of tempting and fattening food. One of his coping strategies was to eat whatever he wanted, but not oftener than a certain interval (and a month would be plenty long enough). But his tastes also changed - he keeps saying that he tried old foods he used to wolf down, and they didn't seem appetizing any more.
One thing that worked for me was to replace fattening treats I used to eat with less-fattening treats. So I still got to satisfy a craving.
